I cant face the $400 and 25 demerits for not wearing a $2 piece of plastic. I wonder if they did try to sting me if it'd be an effective 30kph over the speed limit for sittin at 100? or just 'riding outside license conditions'. Hope i dont find out the hard way!
I've waved to cops as they have overtaken me on the motorway doing 100; they waved back too! If they do ping you for it; ask for a bloody escort while you do 70km/hr because you don't feel safe being on the road
Do what you feel comfortable with.
Is wearing an L-plate on your 6R legal out of interest?

I'm only a few weeks away from losing my L too, cant wait for that day! no more paranoia on the open rd!

Still tryin to decide if i do it L plate on or off. You ever had any troubles with your 100k touring with the L plate on?
I never took my L off and I was sweet. Did 3000k touring on L plate - no drama, no ticket. You will be O.Kee Zee

Awesome, cheers for that mate. i've heard of people gettin done for no plate, but never for 100k on the plate (so long as they're not doing somethin worth gettin pulled over for) so i think i'll stick with the plate

Cheers again for the confidence, i've always agreed it's worse to go 70k than 100.

Should be fine with the L on your R, but someone once mentioned that you may be bound by the license conditions of a learner if you do ride with it on. not sure if that's right or not, wont really be a problem in this case tho

Sweet, I guess this can be counted as my L-plates last ride then before it gets chucked to the bro for when he learns how to drive a cage.

Yeah man thats what I'm doing atm, so If I get pulled over I just say to the police officer that it fell off early this morning or something and more than likely he will let you off.

Is anyone from Hibiscus Coast coming on this ride? Or anyone with a 150, my bike can only do 130 so I have to rely on good driving and aerodynamics buy hopefully we won't do over this.

I think I'm going to meet you guys outside the Petrol station at Wellsford, I'm still waiting for a time from TOTO on what time you guys will be there.

PS: EJ get your bike to go, we'll show the GN's what FXR's are really like mahaha.

    Going north

Rather than SH1 to kaikohe, take the Rawene ferry. Much nicer roads, although a longer trip.
