Checked out the MotoTT website last night and I am going to pre book myself for the track day on the 4th. I am looking into seeing if I can chuck some road tyres on my dirt bike and take that down for a spin too as I see you can ride more than one bike if there is room.

mmmm a small bore 2 smoker on taupo track? Might just be fun!

Probably not the best place to have a grizzle but I will anyway. Anyone ever felt like smacking Brian from Smiths Motorcycles in Durham Street in the teeth? I am not an aggro person but when I approached him today about the history of the bike I bought from him 6 months ago he basically told me to take a running leap. As an aside to that who in business today uses the F word in conversation with customers they don't really know?

Then he said the second opinion I got from another firm (Bay City) was worthless as they were just "muffler mechanics". Too bad really as I was about to spend some more dollars with him on gear, plus get a WoF for the bike. I guess I will just tell 10 friends...

The guy's got the customer service skills of a wet rag.

Aaah Smiths...are they just scooter mechanics now days, lol.
Me & Sharon gonna be at the egg/toy run tomorrow morning. I just love the annual idle round town making all the cars stop & wait a while
Assembling at 9am and departing at noon?! I don't remember standing around that long last time. We might head over around 11am in that case.

I'll be at the run too, in me rattly GPZ, listen for a bike that sounds like it's towing some tin cans - without the "Just Married" sign on the back. That's me (and me son).

No yellow KB Baloons this year I guess?

Hmmm. Im now really disturbed that I have 'muffler mechanics' about to do a service on my precious beast on Monday.
As a Wholesales Sales Rep myself, the one golden rule is, 'do noy diss the opposition'. In fact, I always say they have good products and service, but the point of difference with our products and service is.....
Leave the punters to make up their own damn minds. I also managed to win a several thousands $$$ worth of contract recently over the opposition because I didnt swear in front of the customer, when the opposition rep did. Mind you wasnt rocket sicience, as I was selling to a christian community, so I was careful to mind my Ps and Qs naturally, and believe me, I have a natural fowl language that just fluidly rolls off the tongue.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Yea barely that. My brother took his scooter to them and while they may have got it running again, it had no power what so ever even given it was a 50cc scooter.

I'll be at the run tomorrow. Picked up a bunny from the warehouse during lunch on friday. Hopefully this one doesn't go flying off the bike like last year....

Last year I think Pete / Shafty organised the balloons. Mine parted company with the bike along Oceanbeach Road lol. I don't think the same thing has been arranged this year - maybe the KB people wear their jackets back to front ?!

Beaut day ... I think I might just wear jeans (gasp) and my jacket - gonna be bloody hot.
