Well, after all it wasn't the compression problem. You can read the thread if you want.

I went there yesturday to fix it. Guess I made some progress...

Don't worry, it'll be back on the road soon

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Pics don't have any scratches on your bike, so it's just the front wheel thats got a problem?

WOW alot of posts since i was last on KB

i might be able to make it, if it's dry i'll come, preferably on saturday as i'm likely to be taking the dirtbike out on sunday. could take a pillion on the viffer if they're brave

last time i went out via kaiauia with macstar and squiggles the surface was very less than ideal

dushi: you crashed AGAIN? i demand a thread! some for david, he's got some mean x-rays to show you guys

EJ: i reckon you should get a grunty dirtbike engine in that fxr. did you take anyone else with you to examine that bike when you bought it?

ehab: i'm telling you, provided they're still round those rims are fine. just bog and paint like i did mine

whoever needed that spacer: considered making one? got the basic dimensions? if it's the part i think it is, it's only a 5 minute job on a lathe that even a small child could do

squiggles: the second fork we did was like a 15 minute job! it's just the first one being tighter that was the problem.... finished those DRs yet?

James is gonna ring GP Honda where he bought it from YESTERDAY! And see what the reckon, surely they should help out?
    take it back under warranty

sounds as simple as a stuck float if the fuel overflow is overflowing. carefully check all the headers are getting hot to ensure all cyclinders are firing too.

That's the thing, dunno if it was bought under warranty! But I think consumer guarantees act implies that you can't buy something from a retailer to have it break down the next day under normal use. I'll see if James has talked to them.

If it is bought from a registered company or store then it is covered under the consumers guarantee act for 30days warranty by that company. So take it back. I bought my fireblade and i got 6 months warranty. Most other shops i know give 3 months warranty on second hand bikes.

Now if he rides the TL it is gonna be an uncomfortable pillion ride. But I am sure she will love it.....also means Stevo will be riding like a nanna as always.
