If you're heading south on the motorway you really cant miss it, big blue signs with the ol food, toilet, gas etc symbols (note, you can only access it headin south, just in case that makes a difference to anyone...)

Yep 20-25mins from Auck I guess maybe 30 .

10Mins from my house

But as per usual, the closest one is usually the latest haha. I guess if I'm running it tight I will just call past BP and if I can't see any of you guys will head towards Kopu. Are we meeting anyone there anyway?

oh i thought I read you needed a washer or summat and I presumed you werent riding cos i didnt see you after

What sort of stuff do you guys take with you. I'm planing to travel light if I can with just the bare minimum.

I'll be bringing:

camera
sunglasses
Some snack foods
Wipes for the visor
couple of socks and jocks
extra pairs of clothes
change of footwear for the evening (although toto was happy last time walking round in boots and shorts )
oh yeah and the towel and toohbrush yada yada
MONEY

We dont need a sleeping bag do we?

I was still there; we just didn't intercept each other.
It was only a week and a half where I had the front wheel off and was searching for the washer (all fixed now )

So what happens if one misses the exit?? Get off at Drury, go back up then off at Papakura, then down again??

Or just reverse in from the exit as I recall someone did last Saturday...

Anyway, I just bought a tailbag today, so I'm just about all set!

My list: tyre puncture kit, first aid kit, underwear, thermal clothes, wet weather gear, camera, MONEY (INCLUDING CASH), maps, cellphone + charger, Jeans, emergency motorcycle rescue numbers, water, munchies, rain repellent for vizor, wipes for vizor, spare gloves.

So feck it Im in. see you bright and early friday.

Yep I wouldn't mind meeting up with some other North Shorians first before going to BP Autobahn, it'll be really early though, like 6:30am or something.

Well on Saturday someone was doing burnouts in the middle of the road, riding up and down the single lane onramp to SH1 at Pokeno, stopping in the middle of the road, etc.
