As i understand it, the course is better suited to those who have been riding for a short while at least. I presume that that way you will have encountered many of the situations that will be discussed.

I believe we may get a couple of ACC vouchers that we could use to get a few others through a course later on

yep, course is aimed at intermediate riders, to come between perfectly new people doing basic handling and the more advanced technical things you can learn at track days. The skills are also for everyday situations as opposed to high speed track environment.
When I did the course I ahd been riding about 6 months or so, found it VERY useful to do it then, still forming habits but did know how to ride and SOME theory. Then again, a lot of the other guys had been riding for 20+ years, they still got something out of it. So quite versatile.

If you can do it at some point, DO!

8am to 5pm from memory, it is quite an early start but everyone has to be ushered through the gates together because of security at the airbase.
Very full on, both classroom and hands on stuff, and they also have tea and coffee. Yum.

Mmm yum, have you tried a glass of cold milk with a tonne of milo on the top then stirred in? It's like drinking cookies and cream icecream

Yep, at playcentre we always used to have 'dry milo' with only a teeny bit of milk and all the rest powder. But you had to be careful not to breathe in or it was really BAD!
