Indeed, I think this week we will really push the "Filling up BEFORE we leave" message.

History of the Thursday night ride?

I have been trying to work out how the ATNR evolved, [who started it, when etc].
So far without any luck. Can any one remember and point to relevant posts?

It started when InDeSkyz asked if anyone wanted to go for a ride one Thursday night. I replied that I knew a few roads up Kumeu way and the ride evolved from there and the rest is history. First ride was in Sept 2005. Here is the starting thread before I named it the ATNR.

I dont know what bike to ride though. The TL has hot grips. but at the same time it has a big ding in one of the headers.

IMHO the food at the Ale House deffently aint as good as it used to be (must have had a cheif change or something).
I'm with pumba on most of this but my reasons where also for the poor service at the bar, bar staff that don't know how to make drinks, not getting what you asked for when you get your food.

But as we don't do the ride very often will keep to myself

Hey, Im not trying to point fingers or shit-stirr. Just trying to keep the peace and make everybody happy. :spudwhat: Unless someone finds somewhere else that is marvellous and can provide what we want I think the best bet is to go to BAR AFRICA.

Unless everyone wants to start over @ Albany and ride a reverse route, it could work well but I think there will be too many people who dont read the thread often and will end up missing out on the ride..?

Is there always that many police cars out there on a thursday? Must have seen at least four in about half an hour before I got to the pub.
