The trick is to ride down the evening beforehand, fall off, fuck your bike up, and sit sadly at home while everyone else plays on the track on the last fine day before winter.

Or you could just guarantee non-attendance by riding down and fucking your bike up a couple of weeks in advance, so long as it's a Suzuki.

Heh, that reminds me of a story I read in Japan once. Company wanted to get rid of a long serving employee but he wouldn't go. So they gave him a very very small windowless 'office' (read shed) out by the carpark with only a chair and table. He turned up for work every day and sat in his office doing nothing, still drawing a full income. Can't remember how long he carried this on for but it was a very long time, talking years.

I was informed by a tell-lie-con worker, that this happened when Tell-lie-con went private.
To get rid of staff they simply put them in a room with nothing to do until they resigned.

That would be me.

I did manage to play in two bands and teach 18 students for a year or two as a result of this though. And do my CCIE back when it meant something. And help develop IGRPE. Those were the days.
