But the user in question has misconstrued many messages/conversations in the past, so pm content cannot be taken at face value from him.

You should know better than to only take one side of the story and make a decision... unless you are just looking at the grand standing side of things, like some so often do?

For the record... I am backing Gav blindly, I have no idea what he said in the pm and don’t really care, because I know he is doing his very best, and that is all I would ever ask of any moderator. I know what it’s like to have things twisted and turned to meet someone else’s agenda....Mods give up their personal time to try and keep this site running as well as possible. They don’t deserve to be bullied, bashed, threatened etc...

I woke up one day and realised I had become an angry, unhappy person due to all of the abuse I faced... and have had to work hard to get the old Jo back...

For the record: Thank you to all the mods who had the courage to keep doing it, even when I could not anymore, especially Hitcher, who has now been doing it as long as I was.

If you have a problem with fellow KBers who become moderators, perhaps you should consider the possibility that the fault lies with your attitude and perception? Is that possible?

everything's possible but in this discussion it's more likely that dangerous has spotted the truth through the bullshit.
i've had many experiences where moderators treated me differently from other members and didn't actually pay attention to the supposed rules

I think someone should make this fella a moderator (maybe we could set up a special forum for the delusional) just so he can experience the 20 or 30 messages a day that you're supposed to deal with.

The infraction system isn't "complaint driven". It's rule driven and they're really simple rules that you have to agree to when you join up.

Fine print syndrome tends to take over and people got, "whatever" and tick the little box agreeing to the rules and that's when the complaint process starts.

"Oh, I don't read rules and this is the Internet, there are no rules."

It's an endless parade of school playground excuses, except I've used the shift key occasionally and left out the 32 4 letter words usually used to communicate those feelings.

rubbish jim; i have first hand experience of just how un-rule driven this place is.

Hi Gav, this thread was not started as a direct blow at you but most mods I have knowen well... if it was I would have mentioned ya name and that I have not.
Top man for admiting you cocked up, correct to, one on the infracted is not actually comming down (I had made the offer to her) but has put a massive effort into getting hubbie down for the meet, with out her input we would be another racer downbefore we started.
