Well guys i will soon be back on two wheels for commuting but nothing above about 70kph (dew to financial reasons i will be using jeans and old helmet for a few weeks, i am 100% confidant it didn't hit the ground and has not sustained meaningful damage) as i save up for decent riding gear and a new helmet.
I have the new indicator and leavers for the 250 as well as a fork seal kit, now all i need is somebody to repair the side cover by welding (any recommendations people?) then it will simply be a case of putting it back together.
Any recommendations feel free
(am hoping to have new helmet and decent riding gear for 19 of july, VMCC meet 3 for the year so i can take the 400 over)
Rocking
Peace out![]()
Theys a plastic welding company over Hastings same street as St Johns College( next door) did a good job on a side cover of mine
Boys can't ride broken toys.
Yep Shane at Profecional Plastic Welding in Jervoise St is the guy, he knows his stuff, welded most of my plastics and does a A1 job ( it costs a bit though ). There is a plastic welder in Napier that a lot of the Pannel beaters use, got to be in Onekawa, Depends on the plastic it should be ABS.
I kind of mean the engine side cover. The one that holds the oil in....
Nice ride today, fellas.
A bit cold in places, a tad windy in others and then damp in others...
Good to see you back on the road, George. Almost as good as seeing the cops busy...with others, not us!
Tis a heavily patrolled piece of road, for sure!

I have just got off the phone to the "bustagut" gathering in Turangi. They have decided that they want to head over here tomorrow and ride some of our famed HB roads.
The plan is to meet up at BP Bayview..the quicker guys should probably arrive there about 11.30, refill bikes and head thru to Puketapu for lunch at the pub (they have been forewarned).
Apparently there is 30 or so riders heading our way. We could do with a hand to keep them in line (some of them are Aucklanders...we know how they can't cope out of the concrete jungle...!)
Hope to see some of you at BP Bayview tomorrow...please? We expect that they will all be there by 12.
