Danseys Pass Rd is NOT sealed, and hopefully it never will be. But the road from Duntroon to Danseys Pass camping ground is sealed, so those riders who want to avoid gravel can still get there on sealed roads all the way.

I'm another who votes that we keep it at the 2nd weekend in December. The 1st weekend clashes with the Chatto Creek 1000 miler and also the Long Drop rally.
    Time to ride

Venue date change / Danseys Pass 12th/13th December

Consider it done ! I'll make contact & change the dates to weekend
    12th/13th December.
And I'll confirm booking instead of just penciled in.
What would a KB Camp be without Rashika & Jantar, LONELY!
    Can't let that happen

Jeeze Oakie, wash yer mouth out!

Sealed to Nazeby, sealed to Dansey Pass Camp!

The bit in between (Dansey Pass to Naseby) is still gravel, thank goodness!

It's an easy road to traverse on almost any kind of bike, it's just personal choice.

The roads around to either camp are good sealed touring bike type roads.

Nobody will have to ride gravel to get there! Cheers John.

PS: I can bring my wee truck down again if it's needed to ferry consumables etc.

    Awesome
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Yes, Danseys Pass Camp, sealed all the way in from Duntroon. John, there is nothing at Naseby that suits our collective needs. You adventure riders can still do the gravel pass either coming or going to KB Camp 2008.

Thank you Chris, I am very familiar with Dansey Pass holiday park and I am sure it will suit our needs, I just want to arrive at the correct venue!

There are some very good rides and places to visit within easy distance, similar to last years at the Staging Post from there too.

I am pleased that it is in the second week of December because we (oldriders) have to go to Nelson for the first weekend.

So who is going to be involved in the organisation this time?

Ruralman and me first time, MyGSXF (Jen) and her able crew last time, this time 2008????

Has all that part been sorted yet? :spudwhat: Cheers John.

Just stumbled over this thread. I'm keen to come along too. The Burt Munro Rally will be on again in Invercargill on the lastish weekend in November so we are told. Second weekend in December gets kinda squeezed with children's school stuff, Christmas functions but I will certainly keep this in mind. Got a couple of mates who could come along too.

Besides, McJim needs someone to keep an eye on him...

The first two were great, it's a lot of fun meeting up and getting to know the real people behind the avatars and postings.

So far I have never met a KB'r that I didn't like and enjoy keeping company with, you could be first Winston...

Should be another good one this year, I'm looking forward to it. Cheers John.

    John, Whats left to sort?
I'll bring the DAWSON CHERRIES for the cherry spitting competition!
Food for the masses? Well most of us bring something for ourselves, but if there are members who want to discuss options like last year (think HOG) then it needs organising closer to the event.
I'm sure Niel (camp owner 03 4312564) could advise on equipment available etc

    Good work Chris.
The Wedderburn folk haven't got back to me...good on you for stepping into the breech, taking the bull by the horns, seizing the moment, forcing the issue, taking the lead, putting your best foot forward etc
...she took the KT, and left me the Buell to ride....(Blues Brothers)
