"Winning an argument online is like getting gold at the special Olympics, you're still retarded"

Why is there 8 pages of bitching and moaning about the cops or making personal remarks? Either ride in a way that they wont target you, or if this cop is so bad actually do something about it and just quit the whole online personal bashing going on.

Ask Ixion about his and many others ideas on yellow lines. They are no longer used to indicate possible danger, but painted all over in places that dont warrant them
Still does not change the fact that they are there for a reason and its breaking the law to pass or be on the other side of the road. It makes no difference if anyone thinks that they should be there or not.
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.

Double-yellows are a little different. They do exist in places that don't warrant them and there are plenty of places where overtaking in a car would be suicide but on a bike is perfectly safe. I'm sure each one of us can also think of instances where speed limits are too high or too low, where there's a stop sign where there doesn't need to be and plenty of other inconsistencies besides.

The point isn't whether overtaking on double-yellows is illegal or whether blatting along at 130+ is illegal; it's whether it's stupid and dangerous or not. Just because a road sign or marking is there doesn't automatically mean that breaking it is dangerous. You can't measure safe driving / riding in kph and this maxim can be applied to other rules as well. If you actually think (this is not a comment at you, IL4 - it's 'you' in the third person) that just because a double-yellow's there crossing it is automatically dangerous or that exceeding the speed limit is automatically dangerous, then you're a fucking idiot and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a vehicle.

The point with the ATNR is the sheer level of idiocy that seems to be displayed every time people go out. As I said, I've only been on that ride once and that one time was more than enough to convince me I'd never want to ride with half of the fuckits who were present on that night. The more idiotic the behaviour on display, the more likely that arsehole cops are to find every single little thing to ping you on, or make them up if they haven't actually got anything to go on.

Ride safe and ride sensibly and the chances are that licence-removal wouldn't occur every Thursday evening. This doesn't mean obey every road-rule - far from it - but don't do things which are guaranteed to make every person who sees you think you're a cunt.

No, the point is that if you do either of those in front of a cop don't come on here crying that the cop's a "fuckin' Nazi". The truth is, you (no, not you Sanx) are a fuckin' idiot.

Fairly lame comeback westie, but they say the truth hurts.

I think you might be right, too much power and stunting ability in one of those, for riders with such a limited intellect.
    Interesting yes, your intellect is.

Since when did the policeman "get me"

I stopped to let him know about his dangerous driving. Things didn't go very well as one might predict, but I had alot tp get off my chest if he is going to treat motorcyclists that way.(you might need to read the other thread to get your facts right a smart person would)

SO its my fault other people lost their licences?

We used to do above legal speed rides all the time and never got into any strife. Not to mention that all the bins on rides I have been on have been 'newer' bikers on big group rides. Hence I do not do big rides anymore, and if I do, I pootle along at the back. Nana? Maybe. But I don't have nearly the sort of shit that you guys seem to.
I like to ride in groups big or small but I consider anything above 120 to be unnecessary. Keeping it pinned around the corners and cruising on the straights keeps the ZERO demerit points(never had any for biking). I've never been pulled over riding my bike and I have done alot of atnrs in the last year.

The only time I wont ride in a group is if skidmark is there. Its unbelievable the shit he does.

Nothing wrong with riding like a nana, but its a funny simile
