Bad habit. Usually doesn't make a lot of difference on a 250 like yours - but it's still rude and inconsiderate.

Then if you do it on a big bike with a shitload of lights you could dazzle drivers enough to run into you.

How does the cop see it

    *I hate bikers
    *I'll get payback
*Im the law so what i say goes
*the roads must be made safe

Soo maybe he sees the group as a destructive gang??

    Get patches?
    Think devious?
screw him over by everyone doing burnouts around him??

At the end of the day hes doing his job - youre responsible for controlling your machine, theres only enough room for one hand on the throttle. You only have yourself to blame if you get caught. We studied and passed our licences for a reason, that says yes we are responsible enough on the road.

I will put my hand up and say even though i got stopped doing 90km/hr when the cop checked my licence i was done then and there riding a 600 on a restricted and yes it was a matter of time.

I wont be returning to ATNR untill i have the right licence for the right size bike even then i will still be contemplating. Why? because if i go out on a ride i want to enjoy it for me. Sad to say my views are heavily changing since I havent been on a real bike in 9 months.
My bass is such a slapper.......I cant stop fingering those strings

Thanks for alerting me to the error of my ways, I didn't realise that it was bad what I was doing. I won't ride with high beam on anymore.

I gotta study toto, I wouldn't come on thursday either, ya see I like to cruise at a hundy on the open road, enjoying the scenery. I'd just get left behind haha and end up doing my own thing. Plus I wanna keep my nose out of that area if the cops are being mega strict. I'm keeping my hands clean of this ginger cop crap.

I was told to ride with high beam during the day too , and always done it since I started. Not to say a big word but I think it kinda helps.

    all good.

If you blow a globe you can run with high beam - just point your headlight down lower.

If you look directly into your bike's high beam - what is the first thing you want to do?

Dushy don't worry too much... headlights like the SRV and the GN etc are pretty shit and the high-beam is probably dimmer than low-beam on some of the bigger bikes...

Yep, agree. If the battery is on the way out it could even be worthwhile, still a bad habit for down his track.

IMO anyone who drives or rides with their highbeams on during the day, or fail to dip at night, are inconsiderate bastards - unless your bike is dang old, your highbeams WILL blind and piss off other motorists.

There's a GT250R rider up here on the North Shore who constantly rides with his high beam on, day and night, and it is frikken' bright. I've been sorely tempted to ram the blighter. Luckily for him he's always been going the opposite way to me, otherwise I'd give him a right fucking earful at the lights.

If a cager has not seen you with your lights on, they are not going to notice you with your highbeams on.

Basic courtesy for other road users. Please try it.

That would be EX hyosung, but yea.

I gotta get someone to ride my bike around me on the street so I can have a look and decide whats better.

    Good point BD.

If it was a black hyosung and the rider had green leathers , consider your wish granted - we hit the ground pretty hard a few weeks back and you wont see that hyo around again.

watch out for a gay honda riding around tho

Negative. The culprit rides a yellow GT250R.

Consider y'self warned, whoever you are.
