Sorry to back track a bit here, but somthing i dont just understand.
the other week where there was the roadblock and chris sat in some car and wrote down licence plate numbers.
Did he have a radar or did he just guess the realitive speeds you were all doing.

It wasnt the Ginga Ninja, it was the Ginga Beer Boy (Chris) aka Walkworth Cop. As for writing down plates, this time they had it right and had an established list (not like last time where they walked around filling in the gaps). As for people questioning the evidence (proof of speed reading), this I do not know...

It would be wise for those involved to follow that up, if he just made up the speeds based on estimation and guess work then i'd assume that would be grounds for a defence in court.
Did anyone have a radar dector which went off as you went past?

That's never been the case.
Any time they pull you over and give you a ticket, it's implicit that there's no proof of your alleged speed, because there's no requirement in law for it to be recorded and proven to be correct. Yes, the normal procedure is to show you the speed on the radar, but that doesn't prove you were doing that speed, as there's no time/date/location.
It's all on the basis that the police are just upholding the law, have no vested interest in the whole thing, and have nothing to gain by handing out bogus tickets, so unless you can prove there was a serious cockup, there's no reason for the courts to find to the contrary. It works most of the time, because procedures are adhered to, and because we're all filthy criminals that break the road laws all the time.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
also, did no one see the car and stop to warn the others? or was it unknown at the time he recorded the speeds?
