    WSS spoiler: Craig Jones

This one is literally a spoiler:

As many know, Craig Jones was involved in a nasty crash in the World Supersport race at Brands Hatch last night. He sustained serious head injuries and was put into a coma to limit injuries. That doesn't sound good. Here's a couple of news articles:

That was a nasty crash, good on the programmer for switching camera angles.

Cant remember what caused the crash, but he was hit in the head by the following bike and was just lying there on the track as bikes came by at 200kmh+

Yeah one of the nastiest crashes I have seen. He lost the rear and it came around really slowly coming onto the start/finish straight. Then andrew pitt collected jones in the head with his front wheel and sent him into a spin like a spinning top. He was ko'd lying right in the middle of the track with bikes literally feet away doing 200+. As frightening as they come.

    Hope he heals up quick!!

    Taken from here

After the extremely serious injuries suffered in yesterday’s SuperSport race at Brands Hatch, Craig Jones sadly died in the night.

The British rider had suffered major head injury after a collision with a bike following him. Only the brilliant medical skills and promptness of the track doctors at Brands Hatch had made it possible to resuscitate him (for as many as 4 times) at the circuit medical centre.

Craig reached the London Royal Hospital trauma centre in extremely critical conditions and died a few hours later.
Very sad day for world racing...

Was a very nasty looking crash. Always makes you feel sick when you see someone fall and not move like that.

Oh jeezzz no........... that is awful news.

First and foremost my thoughts go out to Craig's family. He was a great racer who always gave 110% and was a joy to watch on a bike.

I saw the crash live on TV and unbelievably it was a 100% carbon copy of what happened to me in the same spot in 2006. Same type of off, got hit in the same fashion by a following bike and ended up unconscious in virtually the exact same spot. While it was reported I stopped breathing, I recovered and I was sure Craig would as well...... sadly I was wrong.

    RIP Craig.
The older i get the faster i used to be.......

    oh man...
saw him at donnington racing the Daytona 600 for the last time in the Brititsh Supersport series - he was awesome and won the race! backing it in, sliding in style, wringing the trumpy's neck!! the whole crowd was going nuts, willing him on, 'cos everyone knew it'd be the last time out for Triumph.
    gutted he didn't make it.

Well, that would be what that HORRIBLE feeling was when I saw it.

I detected from Steve Martians commentary he had a bit of a gut feeling that all was not well.

RIP Craig, you were a joy to watch. One who really mastered a 600.
    Respect.
