    Another whinging Pom

Or is that just the Shackle Rattlers that call Brits that?

    Hi all.

I've just moved to Palmerston North from the UK. I finally got rid of TWB at the beginning of the year and decided it was time to start a new life worth living - (not so) young, free (well, cheap) & single (again) and all that.

Currently bikeless whilst I'm waiting for my baby ('02 Blackbird) to follow me out - hopefully she's bobbing about somewhere on an ocean way by now. At least it will be into spring/summer by the time I get back onto the road. I'm also looking for a small scoot to do the short work commute to save on fuel in the car and so that I don't hammer Betty on short runs.

I've only been here a short while and can't wait to get onto some of the local roads and to meet more of the forum members - I already know Freebird and Geoff James from 'Bird forums in the UK.

Hopefully see some of you around in te future.

    John.

    Welcome to KB John!

You will certainly enjoy the roads here. No Gatso tax-collecting, but quite similar mentality with our beak...
Say after me "There is NO quota..."

    Hope the bike arrives soon.

(Watch out for kiwi drivers. They really are fucking hopeless!!!)

Watch out for the fucked up right of way rule when you are turning left off of a main road....best of luck.

And I've been here nearly 4 years. Not been called a Pom yet.

Welcome dude. New here too meself, and another pommy to boot. Your blacky sounds niiiice - was looking at one for 2-up touring before the devil got the better of me and I took the two-stroke option. Wish I'd shipped my UK bike - still, nearly on 2 wheels again, it'll be good to get involved with this crowd by the looks of things.

Enjoy Palmy North, say Hi to Mt Cleese

Thanks for the welcome, hopefully I'll be meeting some of you at the Manawatu D&D evening.

I wouldn't say NZ drivers are that bad, definitely not good but a lot better than Kuwaitis.

Give right rule?????? . Might explain some of the hand gestures and Paddington Bear stares I've been getting

Oh, can I post picces here, and if so how?
