North Auckland Street Skills - NASS

Hi there Qkchk,

Im going to be buying a Suzuki VL250 on the 21st of August (week and a half a way - counting the days so help me god i want it now)

I will probably turn up the following wednesday (27th) to check it out, this sounds like a good idea.

Ive been riding a suzuki uz125 scooter for the last 6 months and have done some motorway stints and what have you and generally really confident with handling but general skills and tips and gears and yadda yadda would really like some advice from people who know what they are doing!

Gonna be sitting my restricted in September so best to skill up for that!

Hi guys,
Sorry I havnt been to any rides in the last few weeks. The rough winds have been putting me off doing the motorways and open roads....to say nothing of the rain.
I have to start work at 9pm on Wednesdays for the next two weeks so son't be making it for a while.

Amazing how slow the weeks go when you're hanging out for a new bike eh? Your are welcome to come along, have a look and hopefully participate in some of the exercises. (You dont have to wait till you have your bike.........you can come and watch)

If it looks like constant rain on a Wednesday then there is a good change it is cancelled. Keep looking back on this thread for updates, I usually post them up that afternoon....

3 day rain forecast looks like it could be do-able. Probably get some skittry showers, but not too heavy

Metservice are still standing by their predictions. Looks like its going to clear, just had a look on the rain radar and most of the rain has past through...

Looks like its going ahead regardless!

If its raining at 6pm then I will see you guys down at Albany @ 7.30 otherwise if it does decide to clear up (which I think it will) I'll see you up at Westgate Shell @ 6.30pm. Would like to get out on the VFR tonight to test something..........
