Well, the funny thing is, it had been quite warm and sunny for the last couple of years...almost felt like a bit of a bizarre take on it really!

but yes, we're definitely prepared. Almost made a fine art of it actually

    I just can't wait!!!!

He's just looking for any excuse to justify that good looking beast here:
    Can you blame him?

Seriously though, there is no real need for an off road bike at the Cold Kiwi, unless you're hell bent on winning the hill climb competition.
With a road bike, the 5kms or so of dirt/gravel to get to the site is perfectly doable...just a matter of keeping your elbows out and your revs even

Oh did I mention....Are we there yet????!?!???!?

Yeah harden up. Road bikes are sweet.

And the people with balls (ie us) actually ride at the cold kiwi. Involves getting shit faced, and try chasing dirt bikes up the hills...
saying that, I may put knobblies on the motard, and trailer it down.

Not too long now Boys & Girls, I've got my ticket, you got yours?

Make sure your gear is up to spec, it's been snowing on the desert road, so it will be feckin cold.
