    Where is this??

    Just working on a bunch of NZ images at the mo for some posters and came across this gem.
    It looks to me to be a stretch of road I've ridden many times down South, But I could be wrong. I'm picking it for north of Makarora, south of Haast Pass... fairly sure there is a lovely bit of road like that cos I remember riding it and thinking how pretty it was...

    So? any thoughts?

    The glade just north of Rotorua?
    Looks similar but of course it's rather short stretch that is like this...

    hmmm... think I know where you mean ...

    The road surface looks like the gritty South island stuff tho...

    I honestly have know idea where it is. I'm just guessing.

    looks to me like the "disappearing highway" stretch on the way to Milford Sound from Te Anau ...

    great stretch of road to drive down ... looking foward to riding it when i get some time

    Looks a bit like it but i think that stretch is a bit more open at the top of the trees, so you see the disappearing mountain. Or it was last time I rode it a couple of years ago

    Pretty sure its the Glade as they put the yellow lines in as there is a cafe hidden to the right up ahead and traffic pulled out from there straight into overtaking traffic
