First stop will be at Maungatapere (begining of Te Twin Bridges rd) at around 11am.
Then up to Kaikohe, would like to stop at the bridges cos its so pretty

From there, ya'll can choose which way back down country (guessing you will take the wooded way?

Cheers Maha. Anyone spoken to Doc Doug re road conditions up Te twin bridges way? (can be a bit dodgy this time o year but hopefully not tomorrow). VERY tempted re the big woods, havent been that way in the longest time now and the weather is looking te premo tomorrow from where I sit. Mr D made it to Auckland today with newly tuned up Duc suspension, aparently is awesome but needs further testing I will hook up with yous fullas in Mangatapere if we are joining yous fullas, all plans going to plan

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

The twins are apparently ok. A bit of crap after them towards Kaikohe. The Pap/oak route is a no go atm. Cant comment on the woody, guess it is take your chances. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Yes I guess everything is ride with care at this time of the year. The forest will be damp in places but dang, if the weather turns it on for us tomorrow (and the met man says it will) we should all be in for a great day out. Still trying to figure the Ks, will be a bit of a mish, but hey thats what Monday sick days are for arent they?

Here is the 'txt' er 'email' er whatever (not a pm ) I got from Mr D...

Mangakahia (Twin Bridges) is not too bad at the moment. Not much it the way off road works, but watch out for the potholes and peametal washed on ta the road, especially leading up to and going North for the Twin Bridges. Road it with Laava and the Use-less-ly Last Sunday. Best thing they did was stopping the brigdes to regroup as it brought the pace down past the bridges. There was a few messy corners (potholes & peametal on blind apexes) just North of the bridges which needed ya Bike brain turned on.

hi guys, have a great ride, there was a bit of road works going on, around the twin bridges, mangakahia Rd, so just be careful, though that was about a month ago when I was last up that way.
