Sorry to hear that Big G. Sure hope things turn the corner for you soon.

Went down to the sprints this morning and saw a couple of Rob's runs. He was leading the time sheets when I left.

Thats one pwerty R1 Rob. How did the day finish up?

Bloody hell George, you aint having any luck. What a run you're having.
    Were you back in Royston?

I'm bored shitless here at home, soul destroying boredom sitting around, weeks to come. The dude stretched my leg and all the tendons/muscles etc an extra 2cm to match my good leg, after the new hip. Thought it was ok before, but what would I know eh? Said it will be painfull for a while lol.

Started the bikes today, revved the shit out of the Duc, felt good.!

Had a bit of a run today at the drags . Gee its bloody hard work i can tell ya getting away quickly.
We even had the plod set up down the track beaming their radar getting top speeds at the 1/4 mile mark. Great turn out and what an awesome day
So....................10.96sec 1/4 mile time and the plod got me at 217kmph.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

You think we need to strap the front forks of your bike, and/or lift the rear?

Had a video around here somewhere of a stockish ZX-10 doing 9.9's, he's just done the pipes and strapped the front end so it stayed down easier....

Most stock 1000s would be able to do those times with the right rider and experience, setup, tyres etc. We are just mere mortals going out for a fun day.

Apparently they were having problems with the Pneumatic Quick shift on it,
Also told that because the road, unlike the proper Drag strip, is cambered and the wide flat rear tire it didn't want to track a straight line.

Being heavily involved with drags when Thunderpark was around I can say that successfully getting a fast bike down the track and getting the optimum out of it is an artform.
Its harder than it looks, especially getting a good launch and your time Rob looks impressive given that it was the road.

he would have gone faster if he had painted it green.

top marks. I intended on coming down for a looksee but a few too many the past couple of nights resulted in me snoozing on the couch.
