Uh - teh interwebs makes you say stupider shit that you would in meatspace?

Trouble is the absence of linguistic nuance, tone, non-verbal cues and lack of conversational dynamism - These all make for misunderstandings...

Teh interweb has somewhat evolved it's own responses, but they lack the natural fluidity of a spoken language conversation.

^^^^Don't be cheeky Squiggs - I might stress out and loose all my hair or something terrible like that.

Too much KB, faffing about in general, working too much to pay massive bills, making a really, really poor topic choice and the überpedant from hell = epic FAIL.

Oops. Do not pass go. Return straight to purgatory.

A well-known (would say respected but yeah.. didn't seem all that evident) member has just left the SMC forums in a big huff and deleted all his posts. (Du'h to the people who think someone else deleted them..)

I'd consider that serious and out of hand..

But hell it's fun. I wanna read over the thread again and see if i can fill in the blank posts myself.. could be the newest trend of caption contest!

:P, this is just like most SMC posts on here. The topic starts out one way, and then goes off on a tangent.

Indeed, it seems only the posts of my bike seem not to end up in the bushes.

The other interesting thing is that you can always read the tags to learn a bit about the thread, as someone always goes through and annotates with tags.

Also, people who take offense from things on the internet should really get a life, theres much more offensive things than these posts on the internet, someone signing you up for beastiality porn is much more offensive. And painful on the eyes. Very painful. Flames in a thread is something you gotta deal with, every so often things on the internet turn into a slap fight and everyone who reads it thinks the people still arguing are a bit retarded for trying.

Lastly, I think I know why my threads don't go off topic. Its because everyone is so depressed from the facts of my bike that they don't bother derailing it

    two reasons for that:
    1. it would be like kicking a man when he's already down
    2. it hasn't ever been running long nor well enough to end up in the bushes, ditch, tree, etc

true, tends not to be until the late 2nd to 3rd pages when the interesting strangers join, thinking that it must be a troll topic to have gotten so big.

Then you get a brief flame war around then, and by the 4th its back to just SMC picking up the pieces of the burnt topic

Hey he's got long hair so he can hit back for sure!

This thread - Pretty funny stuff to be honest... My only comment is that Dushy, you're the one always stating that KB is just shits and giggles and everyone's got an opinion and that nothing should be taken seriously... Maybe you should listen to your own advice.

Anyway good to see your bike in at uni each day!

Feminist are pretty good at demanding equality... When and where they want it. Women still only play best of 3 sets in tennis grand slams!

Is that by choice, or because the guys or governing body(which i assume is made up largely of guys) don't think they can handle anymore?

If the women wanted to play 5 sets, I'm pretty sure it could be easily changed! Who wouldn't wanna see Sharapova etc running around that bit longer?

Jokes, but yeah, it could be easily changed.

I like this new tangent MOAR betterer!

The vexed question of how we increase female and scooter participation...

Mrs P has TWO bikes (and more personalities), just gotta get her out on them.

(She has good reasons - and the FXR needs tyres and battery, VTR needs head bearings and more reasonable bars and I need more than 24 hours in a day to work enough to afford all of this plus my bills...*sigh*)
