Holy crap - I had to trawl through 8 pages of posts to find out there was a calendar! hah such as life.

Anyway I thought I'd just make a general comment that this sounds bloody good. And also sounds like it's gonna take off a bit.

I think I'll have to have a talk to the wifey about joining you lot but will have to see what the weather does since she doesn't have the full closet of gear like me.

So you may just have 2 more.

Also so it is a ride the new riders are happy to come along on. There are several of us who dont mind cruising along under the speed limit and riding with folks that are just getting ther confidence up.

If you are wanting to prove how hard you are by going super fast or crazy, then these aren't the rides for you.

I generally ride most weekends either by myself or with the local Ulysses group, but I've often wondered what Hamilton KB'ers do... when you look in the events folder & see what all the other regions get up to. Having done another GC last weekend I'm happy to cruise along this weekend

I hope you can make it. The calendar only went up today. Hopefully it will make it easier for all concerned I hope you and your wife can make it.

I know of plenty of good routes for future rides most will be below 300 km, so nothing too major with most being off the main roads as much as possible.
Im happy to lead the rides but have a problem keeping to the speed limit so i may have to do a bit of waiting.
Im keen to pass on any knowledge i have so just ask if you guys want some help, im no expert but will help where i can.

    Hey paddy,

really appreciated your lead last week thanks again, it was especially good to be off the main drags, not for the lack of police but more the lack of cages and for the learning a new road thing.

    i think <300km is great i got a 180km tank pretty much

I've set the Breakfast table for 18 at this stage.

I think the route I have proposed will be good considering what the weather is looking like and relative experience/inexperience of the group. We can split at Te Aroha and one take the straight and one take the not so straight and combine again at Matamata. And similarly coming back from Matamata. Either via Walton backroads or the highway. Being wet I will stick to the nanna straights.
