sounds cool, I'm with you for the 21st as I won't be joining in on the next two weekends either

with the ride for the 21st anyone know of any good roads to go on that won't be filled with christmas traffic? I just know that the way to thames gets all the jafas going there and has backed up traffic for ages to go over some bridge or something? I don't even know the roads for the coro loop but just thought I would throw that out there so we don't spend a whole lot of time stuck behind cars
Were are those winning numbers for lotto again..... Having to sell all your toys sucks

Sweet as dude, will try and arrange it, got some knowledgeable people around me

And no i would rather go swimming starkers than in speedo's, some thing's were meant to run free!

With the silly season traffic for the 21st, we might miss it. i am from whangamata after all and i know what that place is like over the mad moments the worst of the traffic is 26th - 5th but i am still dubious about the 21st.

Not sure i will have to ask some spies who are still over there before we go.

Anyways, as always suggestions on a route are welcome
What drugs are you on "Hold up more input" then "are there any complaints" then "heres a route but any suggestions are welcome". And its now on the calendar.

God is it that hard for anyone to actually make a decision in NZ these days without going to committee, getting a feasibility study done, wanting everyone to have there say. Kawhia it is, as per route on Calander. If you don't like it don't come end of story.

Calm down i was having a very bad day.

There's been lots of words like committee and president and secretary (i think) but don't loose sight of this being a group of people hanging out together sharing a passion for riding, I for one HATE being told what to do.

Besides i know nothing about these routes and someone might have stumbled on gravel on this route or find a better one by then so of course its flexible.

So if there is a meteor shower or some other natural or un-natural element effecting our ride to kawhia we can change it.

    Gravy?

Everyone hates being told what to do but I think we have got to the stage (15+ bikes) that maybe 3 people need to make a decision on routes to be travelled, rather than put it up for pages and pages of public discussion.

I think that maybe on the 6th we need to do a few "business things" and get some of this sort of stuff out the way???

hahah I was thinking the same. It was obviously some pretty good shit. By the looks, he seemed to get better as the day got on looking at his decisiveness by the end of the day

And you're right, everything needs to be signed in triplicate once prior approval from the voting committee has been sought. Did you not get that memo?

    KOZ FOR PRESIDENT!!

The question is, do I get a bite??

(Sorry I needed to do it one last time, I promise)

Gravel roads? Where's your sense of adventure? If the mapping system you use uses google maps as it's base (most do I think), any roads your unsure of regarding sealed, just zoom in. Dashed roads are for subbies only I worked that out the other day when plotting. Thought it was dumb they showed every road around here as sealed then when I zoomed in there was a few that were dashed.

Wow Murray, you make good sense most of the time

I for one am in for someone saying this is were we're going (been doing it up till now). If no one has a clue, first suggestion wins. If it's bullocks and no one likes it, they shout everyone a round! No love lost and it sets us up for more piss taking material.

I'm a little disappointed I can't make Kawhia Part II but I will be hauling ass around a Taupo getting taught how to back into corners (well, not so much but it should be a good day).

I was going to suggest we have a yarn about organization stuff on the 6th, i think it would be a good idea to at least have an idea of management.

I had better get a salute from you next time i see you or i will have my body guards pull yer toenails out

There is this thing called periodic maintenance they do on the road periodically to maintain it allot like the stretch we had on the way to port waikato or the 600m of road on the way to taranaki that fell away leaving a 50km detour a few years back.

Ooooohhhhhh that type of "gravel", so why didn't you just say "piss poor road maintenance".

Or that detour I had to take going to Mangakino due to the road being closed a few weeks back that did end up going down a gravel road (for the detour). It was fun but I did have one "moment".

Shit that reminds me, I'll have to check if it's open again because I'm not keen on taking the Hyobag rallying for some 10-20 km.
