Nah, it's not cold in J'ville, well, no colder than any where else in Welly. The usual thing applies, if you want sun you're probably going to get wind as well, if you don't want wind you'll probably end up in a valley somewhere and will get no sun. Just a matter of picking the right spot.
Newlands is super close to J'ville, however I think if you live in Newlands you may be zoned to Newlands College, Onslow do take a certain number of out of zone kids each year, but I do know they have met their quota for next year as the girl I look after has a friend who lives in Newlands and she's having to go to Newlands college next year as they have reached their fill for next year's intake.
There's just as much to do in J'ville as anywhere else in the burbs and it's just a 20 min train, bus or drive away from the City. The J'ville mall is being expanded at the moment and they're adding more shops and a movie theatre, so more to attract the kids to hang around the mall after school there's a pool here and a community centre and plenty of sports... tennis, netball, softball, soccer etc clubs also.

If by "īt" you mean wind, low cloud and damp.

Cant beat the Hutt, shelter from the wind, loads of sun, an all the shops you could wish for mall, easy access to just about every where, 2 bike shops on your doorstep, and best of all WE live there.

Was born in Upper hutt and worked in lower hutt.
If we did move to Wellington I would like to try to get as close as I can to town. lol even thought of plimerton or paramata rember all those days fishing under the railway bridge.
Next step after getting a good feel of the best place would be looking for an agent thar rents properties.
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.

Wellington has no traffic problems, especially compared to Auckland. You can live in a 20km radius of Wellington and never be more than an hour away, so I wouldn't worry too much about where you live. Find what suits your requirements and you'll have plenty of positives to enjoy nearby.

I know nothing about that side of town. Do they have the colleges that do drama and are good colleges? I played rugby for the Wellington rugby football club, Thats all I know about that side of town. Is Bill Brian still alive he was my coach. Last I heard he had a pub somewhere in the city.

Try Collin at Harvic Residential, they are awesome to deal with and may have a suitable rental property on their books.

If you lived in this region more than 10 years ago, you're in for a shock. Wellington isn't the filthy, boring, grey crap hole it was 20 years ago.

Your best bet is open the Yellow Pages, ring the schools and ask them about their programmes.

Everytime i've had to suffer the hutt motorway i've wanted to stab someone.
Cunts like to sit next to each other at 70km/h and block the whole fucking thing. I get WAY more irritated in wgtn traffic than auckland traffic.
Dont get me started on that stupid one way "system" in town!

Yes, despite being born there, i'm a Wellington hater.

Arrgh, sorry Trudes BUT... I had a horrible time when I rented a place through them. I eventually took them to the Tenancy Tribunal and when I "won" they tried to to f**k me over again. Though I do have bad luck so they are probably lovely to *everyone else*.

Stop it. Everybody will want to move here. Some may even want to live in Ngaio and threaten my status as the only Gay in the Village.

Thats fine. I guess Wellington and Glenfield are about the same size too. Where else can you be a first home buyer?

Saving to move back to the East Coast Bays. Love the shore!

Hi trudes didnt get a nice reply on the phone from that firm, and the web shows no rentals.
When the time comes I might go to trusty old trade me lol
NGIAO starting to sound like a good place to move too a Hitcher
I have looked up a few colleges on the net.
    Thanks for all the Ideas.
Might use Mana removals I remember them going past in Porirua. Might chuck the bike in the back as well and drive the family down in the cage.
Will have to take Gabby down to see if she likes Wellington first. As she loves Auckland. That would meen I get to buy Wellington rugby jerseys. and retire my Canterbury one.
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.
