Great day was had my many of us yesterday, probably a bit weight lost with the sweat that came out too!!! Think there is a few of us that would like to have a few words with that twit in the Nissan, couldnt believe it when I saw him behind us coming home after finding out what he was like going to Kawhia.

The photos are going to be downloaded later in the week to http://www.hamnorth.school.nz/

Sounds like a good day was had by all yesterday.

I am down in the Naki (New Plymouth for those of you who don't know what that is) and the road was a bloddy mess yesterday, heaps of road works etc so hopefully that will be cleared up by Feb if we do a big ride.

FIANLLY broke the news to the parents yesterday about me having bikes Dad (my biggest worry) was sweet and Mum wasn't too bad (coz I planted it on them when they had some friends here!!!!!) so that is all good. Even got some people down here to ride with which is cool.

Saw stacks of people on bikes on the road yesterday and felt sorry for them, there must have been road works 1/4 of the way here, real messy but the road needs it as it was in a bad way and some of it still is.

Hope you all have a great night this weekend, still gutted we won't be there so we'll have to do another night before long.

Totally enjoyed the run to Kawhia yesterday...pity I had to leave early for the return and could not do the school thing afterwards......actually, just as well I was on my own coming back considering what happened in one particular corner......nothing too bad - just a little embarrassing is all.....cough cough.
'Tis a great ride that one - one of the best I have done so far. Must repeat the performance one day soon.

Put it this way, I've found a new way to spend money! I'm trolling through everything trying to find out when the next ones are. I will have to be careful because I may run out of money to buy another bike next year

I was contemplating doing the pukky one in a few weeks time but it's not the track for the little 250. And the fun part of riding a bike is the corners so I'll stick with the twisty tracks (until I get a grown up bike )

Oh....well.......was going along just fine in the twisties just out of Kawhia and all of a sudden overcooked an entry - loose metal all over the road (resealed) didn't have enough room to brake sufficiently.....saw the road round the corner was clear (just as friggin' well!!) and ended up stopped on the wrong side of the road......."used the runoff...." rather as I used to do at The Levels, Timaru in the olden days.....
