Right, go away for a couple of days and things get weird... 1stly i made no threat, after reading my post i can see how "missing teeth" could have seemed like a threat but thats not how i operate, if i was threatening people it would be to their face and there would be no grey area. That post was themed from something a mate of mine said to me one night: "You have allot of teeth for a smart arse" i thought it was hilarious and fitting.

Never said the mormon few can't ride, i said with the attitude they have nothing to offer, c'mon start a conversation with name calling and what did you expect, when they get over the pissing contests and the try-hard attitude then i am sure we will all have something to learn from them.

Its all a bullshit wind up like several other threads hijacked, these guys turn up out of the blue and drop comments to piss people off or call everyone noobs or whatever looks like they are now banding together against atrocities of something or other or somesuch guys you take the piss expect it back and don't get all "say that to my face" all you are doing is annoying good people and they will get grumpy back.

Good call brooke, i second - EVERYONE LIGHTEN UP!

JamRoll - come along - the more the merrier, we are probably all back on the 10th or after but i am sure there's a few in our group who would be happy to catch up before then.

Looking forward to getting back to Tracey, to getting on my bike again and also catching up with everyone.
Sorry dude, it was Rabbits, pukeko, then possums later, didn't get many possums but had fun. Bloody rabbits make you earn it tho, put 9 in one of them lol should be shooting with the 308 instead...

I have recently moved up to a big bike, but am not interested in "who is the fastest or best looking" contests. I really like the sound of your laxed out rides and hope you guys wouldn't mind me tagging along.

Are there any laxed out rides planned for the next couple of weeks? I know popular places like coro and rags are getting pretty busy but there are plenty of good roads to explore. For example, I did the Waitomo - Kawhia loop the other day which is a nice 1/2 day ride.

Looking forward to rolling with you guys (and gals)!
The "best looking contest" has already been won so we don't even try to go there. Fraggle aka Munta is just too damn pretty for the rest of us

Yeah man, the more people from the 'moot the better. We're trying to take over.

hi guys and gals. I'm planning on taking tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 30th) off work to go for a ride with another guy and lady I know whose keen to ride with us. He's got a yamaha 1100 which goes really well. Looking at heading off 1.15pm (weather permitting) and going morrinsville, matamata (it probably will rain then) and going to the famous Okoroire pub for a coffee and sandwich. Any one interested meet at the Kingsgate 1ish. (won't be a fast fast ride as the learner (689kms now, top speed 115km/ph) wants to go as well. Great ride yesterday pity no one could join us!!

On Sunday the 4th Jan, Dave, chrissie, me and Trina are heading to Taupo (via car) to watch the car racing (Brookes father is racing a corvette) so I assume Brooke and cameron will be out for that day as well. It is still all go isnt Brooke???

Sorry to read this and disappointed that you felt no one was willing to chat with you. I certainly wouldn't call us a clique, we are all just people who like riding and do it for the fun of it (not to win medals). More the merrier I and others say (eg last paragraph Mister Koz's post #1727) and generally as we have grown in numbers we seem to spend more and more time talking before we ride. It was great to see Warr come along for drinks and dinner with us when he's not even ridden with us yet. (Warr if you read this hope the recovery is still going well)

Would be great to see you come on another ride!!.

Mister Koz and others I'm thinking maybe a Te Rapa tavern meeting Wednesday 7th and arrange a good "new years ride" for the 11th.

Murray - I'll try and make your ride tomorrow and have put in an order for sunshine and dry roads.

ckai - thanks for setting me straight, I now know that Munta is the man!

    Cheers.

Yip it's still all go. We're heading down on the Friday (maybe during the day if they can do some testing). We kinda have to go down since we're taking back his car which he left up here.

If you're wondering what sort of racing it is, it's what's known as the tier 2 series of motor racing in NZ with the GT1 (Brooke's Dad's class) being the headliners. These guys aren't allowed to race with the NZV8's or the ozzy SuperV8's because they go faster! (well that's a little joke going on). They're not cheap cars either, one of them has had over $1mil spent on it and is considered the fastest TVR in the world!

Enough about cars, what's up with the weather?? Just when I feel like doing a mid-week ride tomorrow. So are we thinking the next "planned" LOR will be the 11th?

Yeah, bloody weather. Forecast for tomorrow is showers clearing so hopefully the current rain will blow over for tomorrow avo, however back to rain Wednesday avo-evening. Looks like the next "planned" ride will be 11th with so many away this coming weekend

Hi again Murray... yes I do follow the going's on in this thread

My recovery... all boring really .. but since you asked ... tis slow.
I am left with 2 main areas of concern.
    1. Left hand. Gaining full use of all fingers. Particularly little finger that dont work.
    2. Left shoulder. Lack of arm/shoulder strength. Last specialist sent me off for an MRI on shoulder. Rota-Cuff Muscles compromised. High probability of getting the knife to resolve.

...and some areas of less concern.
Lack of movement of both left & right wrist
Grip strength way below parr on both hands.

But good thing is I have a set of wheels mostly sorted... just down to $'s now and being able to pull the clutch with a weak hand!!
And bit of a biggie, Clare isnt very happy at the prospect of me getting another bike.
So treating that fear with respect and hope we can both be accommodated. She has had to put up with alot following the accident, I dont want to be a high maintenance guy forever

My bike is still here which is all good .. bit loathed to take it out in this rain though, but i've got some of those HTFU pills which i should probably take just about now..

I hear Trina has already put quite a few K's on her bike already.. thats all good..

Geez Koz.. what you been shooting those rabbits with ? pea shooter ? 9 hits is alot !!
