He probably is a nice guy in person, but like so many when they get on the roads, ego and dick measuring contests get the better of them. Some people do not have the discipline or self-control that is even more important than "skills" for the road.
Here is one person's comment after watching one of his vids...

But I bet you wouldn't come flying up behind and pass a bike that was itself sitting behind a car with only inches between handlebars just as another car was passing from the other way.Besides, im always first out to pass a car out of the corner![]()
I make no apologys even though he is some kind of hero around here. There is no excuse for making things even more dangerous for ourselves on the roads.
Aren't you guys being a bit dramatic for a website?
Why should words said to someone publicly carry less weight when published in writing on a website?
It's something I've never understood.
We aren't anonymous here, and it's a small country; if you write something to someone on the forum, you best be prepared to back it up in person in due course.

My comment was not aimed at Beyond.
I have meet some awesome people off here including you Andrew (and you know it)....but I have also been subject to some not so nice people and I was just suggesting enjoy the good people you meet and let go the not so nice ones go.

fuck them all beyond!!!ride on!!!![]()
DUCATI ALL THE WAY!!!
if you are going to make videos of your riding, expect criticism, both constructive and pointless.
if you ride like a dick(especially in the current climate of "bikes killing bikes"),expect the criticism to be tinged with a sense of over righteousness.
The internet brings out all sorts of emotions and responses in people where normally they would STFU instead they hammer out their feelings on a keyboard.
in short,if you dont want to experience the full range of human opinion delivered to you in the comfort of your own home by telecom or whoever,go down the pub instead.theres bound to be some old cunt there who "used to ride a BSA"who will be well impressed by stories of bike related derring-do,specially if you buy him a beer.
otherwise,if you can stand the heat, keep posting.....![]()

Drama sells papers!
The tutt tutters and wowsers have "right" on their side. Speeding is after all illegal.
Righteous indignation must give them some sense of satisfaction I guess.
I don't care for posts that tell us what we should do. Tell me what you think and Ill listen...tell me what to think and I'll tell you to go fg yerself!
Doing the thinking for you
S'true though innit.
I don't personally see any distinction between posting a response to someone here and speaking to them at, say, the Taupo track last Sunday.
Except that there's a larger and more attentive audience getting every word of what I say when it's on the forum, so I take more care with it.

Someone wise once told me .....ummm i forget....no wait...... that for every person that likes you another one wont.
Thanks for the positive comments peeps. It's appreciated.
I suppose in life there is no way you are going to keep everyone happy all of the time but I did try. My vids were posted well in advance of the road chaos of late, my reasons for them have been explained as have my replies to obvious concerns in other threads. I'm not going over them again and of course no matter what I say there will be those who still think I'm a dick anyway.
My next vid is going to be a comedy anyway.
Thanks all for the support.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

True true. I'm a big wuss, so I don't say anything on here I wouldn't say to someone in person if the situation called for it.
The nice things about KB is the ignore function, the PM function if you'd rather everyone didn't hear what you have to say to someone else, and ultimately the off button!
