Very small turn out last night at Westgate...

Even smaller turn out at Albany !

We (3 of us) just buggered off for a cruise (Fizbin can tell you where, cause I was just following), but some cracking roads, some nice twisties, some nice straight fast bits etc..

Got me thinking, Maybe it's worth doing a longer ride occasionally as well as the week on week training stuff... perhaps once a month or something like that.

Found it really good to get out there in a small group and go around some roads that are not familiar to me.

I did however learn one VERY valuable lesson last night, i NEED a tinted visor.... there were points on the trip, riding straight in to the sun, where I couldn't see a bloody thing !

Tinted visors are great, but you can go with sunnies for now.
Or you can get an iridium visor, shiny.

Just don't get caught out at night with a tinted visor!
A cop that had pulled me over thought I had been smoking weed because my eyes were all bloodshot.
I had been riding at night in the cold with the visor up in order to see.

The bike is going to be delivered on 16th, to Wellington Also I am now living in Albany at the moment. Hmm it feels good to have the Coatesville/ Riverhead highway as my back yard!

Also there's Lonely Track Rd, Albany Heights Rd, and Wright Rd, all of which are closer than the Coatesville-Riverhead Highway.

I just realised. I took the Lonely one home after work today. It was alright, especially the Wright Rd leads right down to my current temporary house. Love it.

Also th Albany GP is right down the hill. Gotta love Albany... (Plus lots and lots of round abouts). Ah one last thing, theres a round about just 200m down from my drive way, where no vehicles come. If I want I can go round and round and round and round and round and round...

The best thing about albany is the drag strip.

What's that road out by schnapper rock where you go down a hill then up again so fast you can get major air?
