Meanie text, he and Mon are happily ensconced in their tent in Wanaka, almost went mad on the Canterbury plains but the Lindis made up for it.

They head north through Haast to Greymouth tomorrow, I head over Arthurs to meet them, Friday we head up the coast to Westport then through Inangahua and Murch to Nelson

For some reason I never found the plains too bad, but that was mostly in the 70's and 80's when the country was rich and sparsly populated. Back then if you could get to 200 you got congratulated, not ticketed. I'm sure we'd all like to see a return to those days, fun, fun, fun eh

Murchison, god I'm getting excited for you right now, light the fire big boy

While we're on the subject of Yod's glorious adventure in the south I myself will be hitting the south in Feb. I've got my new front tyre and bought myself a tank bag today so my bike is comming closer to being ready for the south.

Next Item to sort out is the givi windscreen.

the south island is a must do at soome stage. I have yet to make it down there and yet there isnt much of the north island left to ride.

In the meantime, I have new brakes, tyres and now insurance sorted and now looking forward to the trackday sat. So who is going?

I'm getting jealous of all these South Island trips.

Thats a decent sized tank bag. Could fit an LCD screen in that. And from the pics theres still room on the bike for the bedding, deck chair, umbrella and free to air sat dish.

That was the medium sized pack, they had even larger bags. I liked this one because the map holder is angled so easier to see.

Saw an FZ1 sitting in the yard as well, looked familiar with all the cable ties and velcro.

Awesome bike that, just waiting for you to upgrade from the Hornet.
Seriously though, hope it stays local, be good to see it on the odd FNR...

I'll pop along if it's fine, if it's fine I hope track surface holds up better than the road through the gorge did yesterday.
