    Ducati 749r race bike

Do you want to start racing or move up a class to F2 maybe go play in "Bears" class...Well this is the bike for you..The best from Italy with Ohlins Suspension....This "R" model was $42000 new and is bloody good value at $13000.... The bike is not running due to a buggered computer.Cost is approx $1500 for a Nemisis computer. We decided to put the money into our second race bike ,also 749R, which is piloted by Vicki Streifler...... Has uprated suspension,Billet bottom triple clamp, performance muffler,Running stock aircleaners ,Dead loss system (Comes with parts removed)Dynoed at 110hp rear wheel (Remember this bike is stock other than opened up muffler). We will look at trades so Give Kerry Jeffs a ring 021765912,,or go to KTL motorcycles in Morningside ,Auckland.... You can also PM Vicki "Flame" or Nick O ..We have dropped the price to $10000 if that helps???.

Hey Rob . Why has the bike blown an ECU would be my question & if only $1500 for a new one wouldnt it help sell the bike if its going ? or as above has the bike got a fault that will keep damaging the ECU ?

The last time Drew rode it was in the wet at Manfield. He did his normal fall off and drowned it in a lake at the side of the track...Then the bike was trailered back to dorkland in the pissing down rainSo the poor thing didnt have a chance..SOOOO when we got it home it wouldnt start..Took it to Heldenes and the ecu decided not to play ball and locked them out......Ok there it is...If it doesnt sell we will put a computer in it,Nemisis from the U S OF A,Which gets rid of the imobilzer crap & will give it 2-3 more horses, and will go on top of the price..So at the moment buy it at the cheaper price...Kerry will gaurantee thats all thats wrong.... Im sure Kerry will get it going for the new owner ,if they so require , but will be extra on top...

Well other than oil changes, tyres, chain & brake pads nothing differant than a rice burner.. We just had our other 749R race bike pulled down and checked by Dave Cole.He said it was like new inside still ,after a season and a half on the track. It didnt even need the valve clearance done.We change the oil after every second meeting.Send pm to FLAME or Nicko .They are our riders and can fill you in abit more from a riders point of view.. Also get hold of Nick Prestige ,he has just put a 749 on the track..

ahem......ok.....just for the record if anyone is interested and made service/reliability comments..... Standard service intervals dont apply to racebikes. ie...10000km and 20000 km Ducati services....bleh, any track bikes generally need a hell of a lot more than that.

Theres no way I did near 10,000 kms on the track in 18mths. Any race bike needs servicing at much lower kms than its roady friend. However, any bike that can stand up to 18mths of racing(well over 80 or so races)and track days then still go into an expert only to find all her shiney bits inside are all still well within tolerances, and still look like new is a dam awesome machine to me! And the gearbox.....i'd have to say is MINT.

And....although it may look like it...she doesn't always get an easy time out there.

    Fantastic bike....FANTASTIC

Dont get me wrong, I know the 600's are light, fine and fast machines, and I'd probably scare myself senseless on one , but I dont beleive they are any faster (for the equivalent dosh) or more reliable than the duc in any way when it comes to racing them from what Ive seen.

    sorry....as ya were
