Yeah gotta love hospitals for that aye
When I had my crash on the 250 I went in for my broken arm they keep making me walk around despite the pain my foot was giving me "walk this way sir, if you could please stand here for 3 hours sir"
After xrays they kindly pointed out a few broken bones in my foot and suggested I must not put weight on the foot

Just like to say all the best on your recovery Jay, it certainly was a spectacular crash at pothole. The thing that concerned me from where I was spectating at the front straight, was as Jay was laying in agony by the bike, it took what seem like ages before paramedics got to him. Not before a spectator jumped the fence to assist Jay. Well done to that person but you have to wonder what took the officials so long to act.

Yeah, sorry if it read that I had a crack at the marshalls, not the case at all, just the area where Jay crashed is a bit exposed and away from any close at hand help. It seems to be one point of the track where access to a fallen rider takes a little longer than you'd like.
Anyway hope Jay makes a speedy recovery, it was a scary looking crash!

    Hi all

Have just checked myself out of Chch hospital. Am pretty sore but have some good friends to look after me for the night and a plane to welly booked for tomorrow morning.

Will get home in my own bed and try and regain use of at least one of my arms. Rachelle is typing this for me.

Quick update is... both arms are wankered through smashed bones in bad places and one leg is almost no good at all through bruising and soreness at this point. Also have a ruddy great hole in my armpit... deodourant stings a bit! Will talk to you all in Wellington when I learn how to type again.

    Enforced holiday... yay...

    Cheers
    Jay
