Was an awesome day's ride today with Blue Babe & "Zena". Whangarei to Kai-Iwi Lakes. Hired a couple of canoes and whent for a paddle. Bit of a swim after that (Water was so warm). Back on "Zena" through Waipoua Forest. The road was so good today. Stopped at Harbourside Cafe at Omapere for Lunch, then back home via Kaikohe and SH1. Bit of road works on Mangakahia (AKA Twin Bridges) Rd at the moment so gave that a miss.
All in all a good day riding the Bike.

BMW R1200RT or a ST1300 ABS? long distance 2up stuff. or just to have that extra luggage.
just looking doing the reasearch for now. but thinking about it.
they have great deals over here for getting a bike, if im good %4 interest, 4year term about 400 odd a month. so it kinda got me thinking what would be a good machine thats gonna last and do some serious touring on, but have the ability to hand some corners if it needs too.
then im looking at the R1200GS, and if its for two up light trips the the F800GS has to be aded too, oh grrrrr. but they are something i could consider.
R1200RT and ST, both great engines, durable, long life, but st would have a cheaper service and im thinking parts cost aswell. Both are shaft drive, both have ABS they also come with attatchments extra costs of course and they wont be cheap, BMW has electrical adjustments for suspension. BMW has better storage i hear.
I will take both for a ride when i get a chance, but at this stage they are both even, ST im sure will come out cheaper but is tha BMW worth it.
ill just do the special check for the Insurance which im sure will make and break everything lol.
but any ideas or websites that anyone knows about would be grand.
so what ya think???
