problem with track 2 is that T9 (chicane onto end of back straight) is downright dangerous for the 600s and superbikes. a lot of bike ended up in the tyre wall and gave some concern for the stewards running the meeting last time it was used.
either way - more 2 day events is all cool ny me. cheers clive![]()
Any KBers not racing this weekend because `it costs too much' but planning to do the full 6 round winter series ? Whats ya reasoning there? VMCC members need to support the national round first right?
IMHO Taupo track 2 is WAY better than track 1 - for little F3 bikes too.
Oh, and 650s seem to beat the 400s on track 1 too.
A club series and a National event are two different things. The Club runs a good solid series in the winter at basically two tracks ... which is totally different to the national series run over the summer at multiple tracks and is known to be reasonably affordable.
Why should VMCC members feel they have to race in the nationals ..that is a choice for them and some feel a bad one, and not at all where they want to be.
I would have throught VMCC members would want to support the club and then as they advance compete in the nationals ... but it is their choice and pressure to do one or other is, I think, rather uncalled for.

I think it is a great line up for the winter series. I was worried that Taupo wasn't going to have a round but pleased that it is.
Not too fussed whether track 1 or 2 is used at taupo. No doubt the big bikes will not like the tight track 2 but then they do have Manfeild for the rest of the rounds so it might be nice to have a track that isn't so dependant on HP to mix it up.

i'd love to race both, but most of my sponsorship is for the winter series only... so racing in summer is a bit more expensive! I love doing the full winter series... its challenging.. has ups and downs... different tracks and is excitingcant wait for this year! any word on cost for cross entering as i heard there was discussions about making ot a bit more expensive?

Ohhh FFS!!!!........................I knew that 1st round would be on that bloody date.
I wonder if the Stepson will notice if I'm not at his wedding............buggar.
Not a good start to the series.............................my vote would be for full track at Taupo, much longer 6th gear wheelies to be had![]()
Tell ya what...................You supply me $360 for entry, 2 sets of tyres and $100 for bike fuel, another $100 for the test day(thats another set of tyres) and I'm there man
Hell I'll even shack up with Eddy for the weekend
That'll leave me some money to race Paeroa
Just incase..................I am joking, the moneys simply not there for this one, Id've loved to have entered.

honestly most of us are making the trip to come up the whole way to Taupo as look VMCC is a wide spread group of racers it would be awsome to racethe A1 Circuit not for the fact my SV has a good run down back straight I love the way the long circuit is tight and twisty then wide open flowing corners makes for real good racing and alot safer than the dreaded chicane I honestly hate the chicane on short circuit not one of back straight the one enteringm its Dangerous I have seen a guy crash there and theres nothing but a concrete wall to hit.
Plus more corners bigger circuit real racing not a bucket track being used for big bikes.
Keep up the good work cant wait to be there.
And my reasoning for not racing this weekend is the fact my bike is still waiting for final parts to fix it after its crash in early december.
