    Best Live acts I've seen:

    1. RANCID - anyone who's seen their energy onstage knows why

    2. MUSE - seen them twice, and was amazed both times at their live musicianship. Many people argue they are the best live act

    3. RHCP (Vector Arena) - Despite many others not enjoying the show, I thought it was cool how they jammed around with each other....and FLEA is the man!

    4. TOOL (BDO) - Unfortunately was too tired, wasted and dehydrated from the rest of the BDO to enjoy the show fully

I'm dying to see Pearl Jam live.... why won't they come here (again)???

Again, agree with the above - accept the RCHP comment. My original posts states all the reasons why these guys suck so bad live.

Guns & Roses in 1993? - Use Your Illlusion - World Tour anyway had probably the equivalent sound qaulity - all instruments blended together - impossible to clearly distinguish & very poor vocal clarity - you *should* beable to hear every word sung, but the bass & kick drum dominated at both of these concerts, major, major disappointment.

I'm jealous, they're one of those bands that I've never been in the right place at the right time to see...

But that makes up for it..

Well I was sitting up in the stands, which may have made a difference?
Or maybe I didn't really have a high expectation for sound quality...

Got a free ticket to the last Gunners show at Vector...was a bit of a laugh to see ol' Ginger Cornrows doing his moves...

I'll dig out some ticket stubs later when I get home.. but some of my highlights:
The Primitives in the Barrel Organ in Birmingham (UK) in about 89.
Curve.. can't remember where. Same sort of time.
Neds Atomic Dustbin at JB's in Dudley. 89ish..
    PWEI at the Hummingbird.
The Cure in 97 when they toured Wild Mood Swings.

    Utter shit:
Depeche Mode. Left before the end. Pop star wankers.
Smashing Pumpkins - here. The guy is a dick.
The Who. At the NEC. Boooring... Can't remember what year. Left before the end of that too.
A couple of mercin bands the missus wanted to see here. So shit I've forgotten their names. Shouting and chanting at the same time. Yawn..

It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

I was also in the stands - right at the back, in the left corner, looking down towards the stage......

RE: Sound Qaulity - Yip -That's a good point & I agree. I guess it's too mjuch ask for a *Professional Sound Engineer* to get it right. Lolz.

Too many to remember but the highlights would have to be Pink Floyd at Western Springs and way back Alice Cooper with the last show of his "Welcome To My Nightmare" tour.

Damn straight - Passive Smoking is a killer in fact......but in a massive - outdoor venue - it's hardly a problem, lolz.

Nice - you saw PF LIVE! My neighbour asked me if I wanted to go to that concert & at the time, I was quite young & didn't know much of their music - so I turned him down.

Needless to say, that was one of the biggest regrets in my life, thus far.

    Hmmm lets see....

    Deep Purple - twice
    Scorpions
    Roger Waters - twice
    Bryan Adams
    Uriah Heep
    G'n'R
    Linkin Park
    Slayer
    Mastadon
Rock to Wellington which had OZZY, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Whitesnake, Poison and Lordi
    Prodigy
    Mark Knopfler
    Sting

Although I never did get to see Rage when they came for Big Day out last year... I got to meet Zack de La Rocha as he wanted a toke of something I had when I was walking through Victoria Park.. ... He eventually took me to meet the whole band and I then went on to spend the evening/night until around 8 a.m. drinking and smoking with them...

I think I saw them at The Junction in Cambridge, but it could have been the Corn Exchange - fun, but TBH I thought their T-shirts were the best thing about them...cf Inspiral Carpets...
