Lubrication specialist.....I know what your thinking...and yes, there is a Caterpillar part number for KY....

I do oil analysis and match industrial lubricants to applications. We consumed some 2 Mil litres of oil last year alone.

I was a marine engineer but not much water is liquid at 18000 feet in the Tein Shan mountains, certainly not enough for a boat, so had to find other work. Well something like that.

Transportation and Traffic Planner (hate that P word I'm a Civil Eng). I investigate crashes, intersection and road operation (traffic bit) and I do long term project analysis i.e. planning new works, travel demand management, public transport improvements for the future growth in population and resultant growth in traffic (transportation bit).

Tried to work on shore a few times....once even lasted nearly a whole week.

why do all these wankers with their "I'm so clever - theres already been a post like this" have to chime in.

Good idea Joe - I have no idea what most of the people I ride with do for a job.

I'm a general purpose IT geek and have been self employed for about 17 years (give or take).

    cheers

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Steel shed franchise manager. With all the fun and BS that entails...

    Hence I ride.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

I've spent years behind a desk as an accountant but I now have started a business with a my son (a software guru) where we design, sell, train and support software for accountants and auditors which is great because I get to travel around the country on my BIKE and tell bad accountant and auditor jokes!

    (Q. When does a person decide to become an accountant?
    A. When he realises he doesn't have the charisma to succeed as an undertaker.
    Q. What's the most wicked thing a group of young accountants can do?
    A. Go into town and gang audit someone.)
