Stay away from inline 4 bikes then and make the move to a twin - you'll be a lot more comfortable. (Also twins are nicer to ride and sound better too...but then I'm biased)

Try a Ducati Monster then. Nice and narrow and not too far off the ground. I wanted one for ages then I tried one and found it was far too small for me (6'1" Glaswegian...go figure).

Neat bike for shorter legged people.

Stick some high density foam rubber on the tank.

I bought a ZZR who's previous owner was female.
It had a big chunk of rubber right where (and I can only guess) it would provide some form of cushioning under hard braking.

The brakes were shit anyway but god damn it was in the wrong place for a bloke.
I think it lasted for about two set of lights after I picked up the bike before I pulled off the road and tore it off.

Assuming you respect your bike and value your life, riding out of class makes you ride more carefully. Especially when you know you are not insured and could cop the fine and demerit points if pulled over.
