A good day, got 6 sessions in.
    Lots of race bikes.

3 groups, Rob & I were in the middle one.
Rob was cruising. Followed him around a bit getting the learn.
The pace seemed a lot quicker than the MotoTT day, and our group was fairly evenly matched for pace.

A few bins, mainly in our group which started the day with 42 in it!!!
All due to cold tyres on the first and second lap and going too fast. I dunno why guys give it heaps like that in the first lap. Rob and I took it easy for the first few and had hotshots flying past, then we'd get up to speed and pass them back.

2 new R1s there including the one from last week with all the bling. Tony Rees? was riding that for the owner and was carving the fast group up with ease, it was amazing to watch, and its got a weird sound to it, kinda a cross between a triple and a V4, totally does'nt sound like an inline 4.

Brake prob all sorted on the new bike, but did run out of braking once in the final session on pit straight, got the wobble and slide but managed to pull up right on the edge of the tarmac ok, then get going again.

Passed a Hayabusa on the back straight drag race........thought those Zookis were meant to be fast...

Track was in good nick despite all the talk about the patches, got a few slides but mostly early, and on the same corner, think its turn 4?

A good day overall, but any day at the track is eh........

Might go for a ride today, maybe Kahuranaki/Patangata?
    Anyone want to?

Just fixing a water leak first which I noticed dripping on the trailer when I got home.
Taken the fairings off and found all the hoses very loose. Dunno whether they should of been checked on its first service which had just been done when I got it. I imagine so.
Not too mention the wire off the oil pressure switch not being on, which I discovered. Not sending a good message to the ECU....hmm.

Well Dooly said he will pick me up just before 6.00am. I thought bugger it he can wait so i set the alarm for 5.45am. After loading up we were off and off to Bp Bayview for gas and a Latte. Good trip up the main drag and it was very icey on the side of the raod heading on to the plains.
Trackday was another sell out and there were a lot of racers for the next days racing.
I had it in my own mind that i was going to take it easy until later in the day. After reading KB all week and the talk about the slippery track. It was getting into my head. So away we went only to find bikes going down within the first couple of laps and only in the morning sessions. Something to said about cold tyres, cold track. Afternoon session were good all round and after a few adjustments on the bike, i found that it was going really well. As usally the pace was getting up there in the arvo. What a great day. Kiwitrack days know how to put on a good day. And they had 7 sessions for the fast/med group. Although we only did 6. That was enough as i had clocked 150kms and had gone on to reserve. Good day i reckon for for a couple of slow and old fellas.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Gary and I had a great ride to Taupo and were treated to some brilliant racing. Was good to finally be able to see Patrick race and couldnt believe how he just rode around the outside of his competition in the corners. Cleaned up both races, even when the bike was missing and farting in the 2nd race!

Hey Tony, your mate Bill with the dreads on the speed triple cleaned his class up, was on top of his game!

Great day, great company and an awesome ride home!
