why do black tyres on a black road produce white smoke?????
Nice work![]()
Awesome to watch mate that bike was fair twitching coming out of T1
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
Great news Choppa. That performance says heaps about you at the GSXR man. Will be a very interesting Winter Series.
Really???? go figure...your PB was the track record?!?! hahaha
Mate, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 1:30 on the sheet....surely a mistake...then you beat the track record again with a 1:31!?!?!
You will be unstopable this winter series mate...good effort. Any tips for us slow riders???? :-)![]()
Great to watch you from the far sweeper man! you probabley held the most turn entry speed (of the whole field) and carried it to through the mid turn, and getting a bit of slip from the rear on exit to get good drive. was poetry in motion and was great to watch!
What happened in the first race. Fitzgerald would have had a 1s lead in the first few laps, then next lap, you would have had a 1s lead?
carry more speed into the turn. you were overbraking for the far sweeper and a little late on the throttle. easier said than done tho aye! you gotta trust those tyres and disengage the brain a bit! hope that helps![]()
1.30! Holy crap! That's awesome Sloan! Finally on something mainstream quick, good to see![]()
...
Brilliant performance, congrats mate!![]()
Yeah man well done...............can only say it was good to see ya from behind for half a lap.
Too fast........too good.................NZ's upcoming No 1![]()
Well done, great read, great to hear!
Wouldn't be racing if it wasn't for:MotoMart, Pirelli, EBC Brakes, Ripecoffee.co.nz, Slotmedia.co.nz, Totalbodyshop.co.nz and Wurth
See now this is the problem with being a racer instead of a spectator, I didn't see you on the bike all bloody day except for the start grid. And those fuggin' laptimes....jaysus, it's kinda depressing, LOL. Nah, stellar effort mate, and thanks for talking me through a few lines.
well done mate can't wait to see what you can do on this new machine!
Ride it like you stole it....

Hey guys dont assume too much. I take nothing at all away from Sloans win as he has great natural ability and a really really good attitude. All power to him for constant improvement and I will be helping him over the winter. Now he is not constrained by the least competitive 08 brand / model. ( Sorry thats a proven fact )
When the bike was resold from Stroud to Sloan we reset the suspension internals and spring rates taking into account Sloans different weight profile. There will clearly be more work to do beyond this and the setup is different for every track. For example it would likely be too firm for Pukekohe and as Sloan gets more used to the bike that in turn will require more work.
Hayden turned up on a bike valved and sprung for Pukekohe and the setup required is quite different for Taupo, both in terms of springing and valving.
Given all of the above I am not surprised with the above results.
