Actually easter is not a christian thing, don't read about bunnies and Easter eggs in the bible, in fact you'll never find the word easter in the bible - Easter goes back to a lot of different things none christian practices or customs - one being Eastoria; a fertility festival, hence the bunnies and eggs.
Its an adulteration of christian and Jewish tradition with capitalism and eastern mythology

The observation of the death and resurrection of the messiah, the same time as the Jewish celebration of deliverance from Egypt; is on the fourteenth day of Nisan (a lunar month which starts on the first full moon in the latter part of March and the first part of April) which I believe was last Wednesday. A big feed with candles, wine and roast lamb, bitter herbs and sweet herbs, unleavened bread, singing, toasts, good friends and thanksgiving.
Part of the observance was to clean your house out - a symbol of getting rid of sin in your life - of course that time of year in the northern hemisphere is spring, hence the term 'spring cleaning'

Just thought I'd clear that up - in case anyone wanted to know

If I had to clean out my house to symbolise the removal of all my sins, I'd be left with 1/2 a jar of strawberry jam, and a broken radio.
Enjoy your riding people, and watch out for crazed bunnies behind the steering wheels.

I'll probably do the Coro tomorrow, if any one is interested. Normally meet up with a couple of friends at BP in Ngaruawahia - does 9 am sound good, any one interested in tagging along?
We're not fast riders, but don't stop every 5 minutes either. Happy to wait for slower riders at given points.
Lunch at Coromandel, cupa tea at Whangamata?

I am super kean I will just have to check over Lucy and make sure all her moving parts are fine.. I had to stop for a bunch of brain dead youths running across the road short of a stoppy on the ride home last night in the dark, I was not ammused. (As exspressed by turning around and offering advice)

Troubled youths thease days.. It is quite sad when the only control they have in there lifes is jumping infront of traffic to make to slow down / brake

I'm probably going to do SH22 tomorrow afternoon - south to north, leaving Hammertron about 1.30pm weather being favourable as seems likely...route as attached...I will not be blasting it like a crazy loon but if you want a relaxed pootle by all means come along. Could meet at Gull servo about 1.45pm....PM or post here if interested...oh and no doubt I will be giving thanks that I am out riding...in the true spirit of Easter...

Thumbs up To each their own

I don't ride that fast, you'll be OK, I've ridden with you before
If I feel like cutting loose on the windies, then afterwards I'll slow up and wait for others to catch up, likewise if anyone else feels a bit keen they'll slow up.
probably just 3 of us so far
