Quack quack.
Quack quack.
Slightly of topic but in a similar vein!
A group of us bikers (on sports bikes all power ranger'd up) arrive a a local to me drinking/dining establishment in dear old pomy land and were quite rudly denied service "we dont serve bikers here" was our first exchange of words! Fine no arguments just turned somewhat stunned and went elswhere. Now I hasten to add we hadn't all arrived (6 of us) as if we had just finished a moto GP all wheelies and stoppies etc, but just trundled in very low profile like. Pissed of or what........anywhoooo.
A couple of weeks later we/ most of us turned up again only this time in cages, ordered a heap of food and drinks, gave it 10 mins and got up to leave stopping off at the landlord at the bar and appologised for forgetting he didn't serve bikers.......The bill would have been around 150ish pounds, the look on his face pricless![]()
Today's installment is that this guy is now stating his motel "is not a marae or a Housing New Zealand home". He's got a real knack for customer relations.... Not!![]()
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Perhaps I should have said 'Waitara'...it's somewhat dormitory to NP, 'self-contained', off the beaten track, full of undesireables and a place to avoid.

That's true, human's are human's. He has just seen far too many come from Wainui. No different to the Uni games finding it hard to get accommodation & having to go outside of Uni cities due to them having had enough of them. Moteliers were refusing to take ALL Uni students. Without living through what you go through when living on site of a business like these its hard to fully appreciate it, granted. Remember the media is always going to have some spin on this & lets face it, the spin is better suited to the drama of banning an entire suburb than saying "he is justified due to xyz experiences over the last two years".
Me, I make the call on each person/group based on how they conduct themselves. Have turned plenty away at the door in the past & turfed plenty out part way through & will continue to do so to protect the business & my current guests who didn't pay to put up with their BS.

I don't get what sort of spin can be put on this situation. Now, don't get me wrong...I think Mallard is a complete cock, but if my first and only experience of him was what I watched last night...well, I'd actually be somewhat impressed. As it is, I feel that the many thousands of ordinary folk who just happen to live in Wainui are being given a raw deal by this pair of dicks in PN.
