Then I realised that no one else had contradicted/complemented/commented on your post, and I asked myself why. I figure it's 'cos they don't identify with it. You claim drink driving is NZ culture but the lack of response to this post and the general feeling from other posts seems to contradict that.

I've just come home after 15 years in OZ, and I know there are a few die hards (die early, more like) over there but I thought we were a bit smarter than this. It's dissappointing to find we are not.
