Well bugger me was that a fun ride! A couple of close calls on the way home (sorry to the guy on the burgman! i didnt see yas turning left till the last second! Were i not shitting myself that impromtu stoppie would have been fun!)...

Ringing the nuts off the Bandit to keep with yas but she loved it... nice to end at the sleepy little pub at mangawai... though my can of redbull was $5 ( ! )

Oh, by the way. I was meant to be looking at my new house (603 Peaks road) today, not going on a ride. I saw it... at 130kph trying to catch the tail end charlie from Westgate i happend to see turn right off of state highway 16 just up from the vege shop...

    Wicked fun.

yeah was a good day went something like this...

woke up....went to westgate......went to kaukop....went sh16 to wellsford...stopped....went back and far as kaukop turned off...went to silverdale via dairy flat.... then to whangaparaoa to see my gf.......went for a "ride".....then left her house..... .....rode home....oh on the way home stopped at cycletreads and got some ear plugs...what a diff those make i can actually concentrate on riding now ....

    and now i'm home....

bundles of fun.....and good to see you lot too

apart from crashe scaring me into not overtaking her....partly cus she told me not too and partly because after following for a while.... i had to pick a very ahem wide part of the road to pass...crashe.....keep your lines hehe....was expecting lecture of doom when we arrived at wellsford but dunno why i was but a was spared....nah your ok crashe i just sometimes wonder if i should leave my helmet on ....oh no thats mack the knife i gotta be wary of LOL

    cheers : SM

    Thanks for the ride

I'm no longer a KB virgin.

Good to put some faces to forum names too, I might have to get a sports bike, that bike of mine is heavy round those twisty roads but good fun all the same

Your welcome BP. Thanx for your company guys was a nice cruisy day out. Shame about the poor bastard on the gixxer, best he find another patch of road when he eventually gets his licence back. Cheers to the dude who gave us the heads up about the blue sedan (dunno if your a kber). No tickets, no bins, dry roads, (mostly) what more could a girl ask for..... apart from a tyre without a damn nail in it (Oh, and a portable hairdryer for you crashe)

    Cool

Skidmark - Good boy for listening....
Oh and SkidMark, cruiser's take a whole different line to sportsbikes...

Draco - Mate awesome to catch up with you again...
I'm glad you got home ok with the nail in your tyre.

MadDuck - Good to see you out riding again. Great to catch up with again.

Maha man and Mrs Maha man - NIce riding with you guys I enjoyed that pace you set.

Busa pete and W - Ya wimps, piking out at Wellsford. Yep I know where you called into on the way home... dobbing me in. Cheers for that lol.

Classic Zed - Nice to meet you and what a awesome bike you have... good to see a classic out there.

toymachine - great riding and good on you for comeing up to Mangawhai pub with us.

Insaneone - Good to see you out there on your scooter.

Sorry I can't remember who else was there today... but it is grerat to see many new faces.

Yep to who ever it was that gave us all the heads up re: the police man.. that was cool... it only took us about 10km to find him thou, but he was ummmm rather occupied with that young man who now has to walk for some time... with I imagine a very hefty fine to boot. (215km)
We spoke to him at Wellsford after that very nice police officer dropped him off to catch up with his mates who had stopped up at the lookout.

Hairdryer worked well.... where else do you get a hairdryer than at a pub....!
