So...., a motorbiking nurse who rides at excessive speeds setting bad examples for other motorbike riding nurses expects... ummm.... what was it again? Just woke up again... "slow" day...
People complain all the time about cops and their driving...and rightly so.
Cops get tickets all the time for it... only difference is, life goes on and they get over it without moaning about it like a bitch....
So in what way does that make you trustworthy???, Patrick I got nothing against cops !!!.
A lot of my mates are cops and I trust them.
And you better believe it, we be there for anybody, Including cops who make mistakes now and again....now I wouldnt be saying public like that we often back up cops who have used....Shall we say Indiscretion in there quest for justice......
Highway pigs, " a job of cunts for cunts by cunts"
Speed doesn't kill people.
Stupidity kills people.
The experience I had here with the NSW cops is a lot different. My solid old cage got slammed into by a young girl who had indicated to turn left, and drove straight into me becasuse she was lost and arguing with her friends. I was stopped at a give Way sign, and started to slowly puill out to turn right when she straightened up. Even the witness behind her thought she was going to turn left.
Anyeay, had to wait for the cops. Couldn't move her little cage as the whole left front was destoyed and it sat in the midddle of an intersection. When the cops arrived I explaied what happeneed, and the officer was in agreement with me. He did his best not to give me a ticket, but as I was sitting at a Give Way sign, I got the ticket - $225 worth. He was never rude, completely understanding and very proferssional.
My cage? A 1977 XC Falcon Custom - damage - dent in left front fender. Girl's cage? A 2005 Mazda 626 - damage - destroyed front left, headlights, grille, CVs, gearbox mounts, hood. Totalled $7,000! I still can drive my XC, and the insurance took care of the girl's car.
Glad I wasn't on my bike. I take extra care at that interection now too. Like I said, the cops were really helpful, and said they'd do their best as they understood it was a genuine accident. (Of coursde, the Law says I was in the wrong being at a Give Way sign)
Well, if someone crashes the Police don't investigate the cause of the accident and use this to educate the driver about his or her mistake. Instead, they investigate the cause of the accident to accumulate evidence to prosecute the driver for anything they may of done wrong.
How can a disliking for the Police not be warranted?
Pitty the MoT can't take back the "traffic" responsibility so the Police can claw back some respect.
Ah sorry bout that must have been an Off day , I see what you Mean now.
By the way ...Most of the time a pissed ,crashed & trapped driver dont see us as Ambos or Firefighters, they see us as Authority and can still cause us Greif.....Mind you seat belts tied firmly to the steering wheel with hands firmly under seat belts works too!!!.
if you are happy to pay the fees that accompany the investigation like in aviation - huge compliance costs to CAA - for instance, before a type certificate will be issued to an aircraft type, there is about 2000 man hours put into the checking that the aircraft meets standards. would you be happy to contribute?
