IF IT sounds like a mosquito, it probably is.

I'm the fellow who came back for you on the loud black bike and your welcome dude, also you could try a fake vin, rego, licence and name.
seems easier to just not get caught though. It sounds irresponsible but if you really want to go for a ride, pull out a map, there's plenty of hidden roads you can do what you like on without a pig in sight. i dnt have the right licence and have been caining around on big bore bike for ages, and only got caught when i was doing what you were doing- fanging on main roads. Remember mad max 1 and go do what the fuck you like (just without the gay ZXR compulsary mohawk). Some may say i'm stupid, but then again i'm too fat for a 250cc- some things gotta give and it won't be me.

In spite of the fact I have not attended an ATNR for nearly a month [bike trouble!] I have observed the ride proceed without any designated leader/leaders.
Clearly a great social ride but not without Police issues resulting in many lost licences and tickets.
The ride can and should continue and in my opinion needs some form of leadership [rotating?] to debreif and guide participants around the designated route at a more licence freindly pace.
The main obstacle to continuation is impressing on newbies the importance of not speeding, those of us that have attended a few ATNR's have witnessed first hand how anal the Police are about speed control and realise 'cruising' on this ride is not an option but a prerequisite.
This post should not be read as criticism of an individual's action but rather an observation that if the ATNR is to continue succesfully change is needed.

So how about it? if the Qck's don't turn up leadership could be designated to perhaps Keystone,Frosty,Blackbuell, Myself [any other senior members willing to put their hands up?].
    Some comments people.

    Here here.
    I agree totally
I wouldnt class myself as a senior as I'm always getting lost.
I havent attended the last few due to bike trouble and work comentments.
Guidence is essintal as this is a SOCIAL EVENT not a race.
We spend more time at the pub than riding.
There will always be "speeders" but what needs to be pressed is there not the pack u should follow.
They know the risks, and have lost there lience on more than one occasion.
Its more about making it too the pub and enjoying ones self

    Hi There,

I was thinking about coming along this thursday as a first timer, but am concerned about the police presence!!!

Roughly how big is the "precautionary" group that brings up the tail and keep their licenses?

Oh yeah and how many riders in total do you usually get along to a ride?

    Cheers

The cops are only stressfull when your speeding.
    Numbers vary from 10-40
Come along for the social side.

They dont just pull over everyone.
They grab the speedsters, which has so far been mainly people doing over 20K over.
    But thats not a certainly.
    Just stick to the limit.
The tail end charlies are usually good.
ANd its the pointers that help out, at every turn.
On occasion when people have got lost, someone has gone looking.

There is a pretty simple system that has been used for ages, most people know it, if you don't then ask, if you see someone who is a new face then explain it to them.

SPB what is this senior member bullshit? how do I get my senior member KB sticker, I think I've only got a junior KB sticker

Who care's about the Police, same with anywhere, you speed and its illegal so you'll likely get caught. Pick your moments.

Funny, that's exactly what they did when I went.

You ever think that when they can't get dickheads for doing 180 (or whatever), they'll start doing people for 120-130, and how soon after that before they get to 111kph and you're booked?

From what I understand the cops up that way don't want bikers up there, I'm happy to oblige, plenty of good roads elsewhere.
