Yeah we exist... theres plenty of ladies giving it a go on the track altho I have to admit that I am not one of them.
2 reasons: firstly I am way too competitive and my bike is my everyday ride (literally!) so I don't wanna risk any damage
and 2ndly... just not interested, I would rather be road riding exploring this fantastic country and discovering new back roads whenever possible ...yeeeee ha!

    interesting reply, that, Buellbabe

there's a clique of local ladies here in west aus. that are into racing - i sense that the general opinion of their ruling elite is that if you don't race you can't really ride -

if anyone expressed that opinion to me my answer would be much the same as yours [only probably more blunt - i consider cliques just another form of bullying] ---- those of us with competitive urges and addictive personalities know that we have to be careful what we allow ourself to become passionate about.

life is short - spare time is precious

and my riding priorities, like yours, are more broadly-focused

I ride on the track and on the road and I love both equally. Most of the girls I ride with don't ride on the track or do so very rarely. Doesn't matter, I'll do either so long as I'm on a bike...

Yeah I reckon people have different things they strive for. Some people are interested in track work others are not... I am dead keen, but not on a bike, on a side car, would love to ride it, but the aim is to be swinging full time as soon as possible...

absoLUTely! - in my mind riding's a personal thing and it's a case of "whatever turns you on ................."
[shut UP MDU!!!] ...... no limits and DEFINATELY not "only one way to be a biker" ........

Phooaaarrr!! Bet you'd swing like a well hung gate too Joni.... I had a go at it on the Taupo short track/have a go day about a month or so ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can see how it'd be highly addictive...being that close to the tarmac at such speeds! Good luck swinging full time Hope to see you out there soon.

Would like to get a few club meetings before I try on a National level, but see how I go closer to the NI rounds. Damn shame there's not a round at Taupo!
