Great ride and we explored some VERY interesting roads....Thanx to the 10 others who joined in on the rapp, even tho it was a reconnaissance ride I still had an awesome blat on the last half..........
So what do the rest of ya think? Is anyone keen enough to lead a group on a different route? Scenic Drive, Piha, Huia, Bethels etc.....

Twos a great ride, few dodgy corners, but the rest were good.
Not something I'd want to do in the dark tho due to random gravel.
Phenoix the bike riding Phoenix.
For from his crash, he shall rise again.
And now his Bikes all back together again, YAY
Great ride.... but with smallish numbers and needs to be done in daylight.....
Some tight corners for the cruiser.....
Not many corners sign posted with speed signs on them... so care needs to be taken.
I have to say that after the first couple of turnoffs I had no idea where we were
So definetly need to have pointers stay on the many turnoffs to direct the slower riders and the TEC.
qkchk - First regroup was 30kms on the clock
Second regroup at Helensville was 45kms on the clock
Third regroup on Old North Rd was 74kms
That was my reading from my bike as I reset my trip meter when I refuelled at Mobil on Lincoln Rd.
yeh! that was an awesome ride, thanks qkchk!!
few dodgey corners, but i didn't sketch out on any! so was good.
... i was lost after the 2nd right
absolutly no idea where we were!!
not ther on thursday though,
have a good ride everyone that goes!!
I didnt check the site until I got home at 7:45![]()
Thanks for organising that guys, 'twas a nice wee ramble in the country. Hopefully I'll make it to another one before xmas.
Cheers
Clint

Hi there,
I'm happy to lead this ride if the group wants to do it at a slow to medium pace.
I think Huia is a nice location. I'm not sure how late the fish and chip shop stays open on a Monday night - so there may not be food at the end of the ride.
If you guys would like.
We could meet at Shell Westgate around 6:30 as usual, leaving there at 7pm. Go down towards Swanson road and onto Scenic Drive.
Go down Scenic drive all the way till just before Titirangi and then turn off and go down Huia road.
----
If you prefer riding to Piha - we go down the same route until we get to the Piha turn off near Nikau Lodge and then ride towards Piha. This would be the shorter ride of the two options.
Regards,
JSG
