DB is the new Porridge. Cause most of the mods must be sucking his cock ..... Or his giving them some oral help? How else can you explain it?
I had a quiet moment at my desk for Bruce at 2 pm today.
Small and dangerous with a sting in my tail!!
LooseBruce told me to tell you guys "you're all pussies" We followed, as you do with Bruce, up to the Akatarawa cemetary. He wanted to keep going - he mentioned something about "... 30's of twisties up there...."
Bruce you've got many more k's of twisties where you're headed. Cheers LooseBruce I'm having one for you!

Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

Yup I had a mins silence on Tauranga Wharf at 2 pm today, also i wrapped black tape around my truck mirror drivers side for all to see.
Best wishes to those that attended and wanted to attend and couldnt.
Hope all went well.

I thought I'd add this poem from Bruces service (reprinted from the program). Those of you that know Bruce will see him in these words.
SONG OF DRIFTIN' ON
I've cut me load, and that's me song,
It's time I hit the track,
I've been around here far too long,
And now I'm heading back.
I'm splittin' from this worn out scene,
I'm packin' up me gear,
I'm takin' off for pastures green,
I'm snatchin' it from here.
I've heard the things they've said to me,
I've bogged meself in stuff,
I've took responsibility
and now I've had enough
I'll drag me hook, I'll just un-front,
I'm heading for the door,
I'm casting off, I'll pole me punt,
I'm not here anymore.
So good luck mate, I'm moving on,
I'll leave this place to you,
And if they ask you where I've gone,
Just tell them I've shot through.
And if we meet some other place,
A stranger you will be,
I can't remember name or face,
They're all the same to me.
I'll greet you like a brother,
I'll make you laugh somehow,
Then one day I'll drift away,
Just like I'm doing now.

I didnt really know loosebruce and was at the funeral as a KB'er and as support for another. It was an excellent service and it was pretty tough seeing the people you care about deeply upset like that. My heart goes out to LB's family and friends.
"If life gives you a shit sandwich..." someone please complete this expression
Good bye Bruce (LB). You will always be in my thoughts, as will Darryl and Bruce (UB).
Hearing your son talking was all too much today, that hit a spot i never knew i had. "Is daddy going up to the sky now?" was one of the sadest things ive ever heard!
You have one good looking boy there mate! im sure he will carry on your legacy with pride.

Was a privilege to be able to attend, thank you very much Bruce's family.
The convoy was great too, thanks to the guys who stopped the traffic to get us thru together.
A very humbling day.
Sleep well Bruce. See you again one day.
I don't know about any of the other aucklander lot, but that was the longest, hardest ride I've done, ever. In fact, the hardest few days I've ever done. Nearly 2,000kms, several tanks of gas, a speeding ticket, and a square rear tyre (thanx tubbo HDTboy). I'm aching all over this morning, and felt like I haven't slept for a week.
And I'd do it all over again.
Daryl and Bruce were two of some of the best guys I know. I was honoured that I could pay tribute to them, and ride with them, and the rest of their and the KB family. And to see, meet and talk to everyone about them.
Bruce's funeral was a nice sending off. And the GSXR sticker on the silver and black casket was fitting. The last ride up to the cemetery was a hard one for me. But the place where Bruce rests now, there's just no words that do it justice. The view from the top of the valley, the 30ks of twisties that start just where the cemetery is, the sound of nothing.. just a very special place.
One thing that always got me about Bruce tho, is his tireless work. In a way, I admired the fact that he just wouldn't stop. He was always on the go, always working, then riding and racing if he could fit it in. I know he had a lot of commitments, and a couple of jobs. No idea when he fit in some sleep, but I guess he got a bit. But I can't help but think, why work so hard and tireless, if life is just so short and fragile? It's good to have the mula, so you can get what you want and enjoy things, but surely you've got to step back once in a while and take a breather.. I said something like this to Bruce on a ride, we had stopped for a break. He just turned to me and said something like 'I'll think about it later..'. Not one to stop, huh?
Rest easy Bruce, until next time mate..
just some photo's from my point of veiw...
what a ride so far!!!!
