Thanks to the crew from Kiwirider for a fun day.

It was with mixed emotions that Nicksta and I rocked up to the track. Although it was a bit up and down for us for a few different reasons throughout the day, at the end of it we both left tired yet as happy as we could be.

Thanks especially to everyone who helped us throughout the day - Jonno and Shane for their tireless help in unloading our bikes in the morning and then reloading them at the end of the day. To Two Smoker for the tips, helping with Nicksta's chain and for helping with tyre warmers and stands. To Chloe for timing some laps for me. To Devil for helping with tyre pressures, tyre warmers and stands. To GiXser for following us home and stopping us a couple of times to readjust tie downs etc.

Also big thanks to Leong for letting me take his GSXR600 out for a session (even though I was slower on it than on my SV!). Look forward to seeing the video footage.

And thanks to all our friends who supported us in a million different ways throughout Saturday, Sunday and the past week (and previous week in my case).
    Exploring pastures anew...

You are a winner alright Dover

Being only my 2nd track day and first time on the whole track, I fucken loved it... finally got my knee down(now gotta work on the right hand one lol)

Gave Shaun Harris the learn at the end of the main straight(well he came in a bit hot and went straight ahead.....motocrossed it across the grass and passed me on the next corner I do believe....)

Had White trash and R4Q2 sail pass me at the end of the same straight coming in to the chicane...loooked like they had an almighty battle going on

Was awesome being on the grid with the likes of Craig Shiriffs, Shaun and Stroudy, man those guys are out there

Got a bit sunburnt as ya do, had a blast with some KBers and Norfland banjo players the night before and cheers for the place to crash Chris and Annette(well Maunder Suzuki anyway )

Be most definitley going to the next one..... MMmmmm Suzuki porn

Was a good day, Chloe and I went there to help Nicksta and Keystone out in the pits, until Keystone generously (personally i think stupidly) let me ride her SV around the track. Huge thanks for that Jill Beautiful bike to ride (and very easy to ride)... Happy to be doing some riding finally, felt smooth out there (didnt want to push to hard and have Jill kill me for crashing her bike) and cranked out 4 laps at 1:48 each... Just wish i could have been riding the 600...

See you guys at the next one
See Robert Taylor for any Ohlins requirements www.northwest.co.nz
    Thanks Colemans Suzuki
    Thanks AMCC

    Big Thanks to All

A very big thanks to everybody at the track yesterday. A great event sponsored by good people. To all that were there for me, thanks. My apologies for putting some through that, considering the last few weeks events.

    Thanks again, one and all.

    It is what it is

Great day was had by me.. was glad the rain gods stayed away, i prayed to the gods" the night before, and asked that if Dover was to consume 38 pies along with 976 tui's on the saturday , could we get brilliant sunshine for the whole day on sunday, ????

Dover didnt know about my prayer, ...

anyway, thanks to suzi nz and Kiwibiker/Chris great day and as always very well organised,
a suggestion (like W/T) would be to have some kind of a broom or sweeper handy as at times there was some gravel/stones on the track.. and potentially could have caused serious mishap..(constructive critisism)

id like to thank the marshall's for sweating it out in that heat.. great job"

highlights of the day were,, (apart from my hair)picking up my personal times, even though i didnt have a stopwatch, you know when you are improving! only thing this time let me down were my brakes, or lack of

WT and Death battling it out, Jen,was sharp, would give death a run for his money me reckons,Sudeep awesome as usual even though he was taking it easy. natural talent i say
Aff, going strong and getting a good lean on..just the hair slowed em a little.
that pie eating monster..tearing it up and being the fastest in the "slow/loser group"

The norfland crew actually making an appearance,, even though they only went to bed and hour before track day ..
and Annette had the biggest grin on her face after several sessions, and this time, Chris you had nothing to do with it..!!!

great to see Nicksta out there, tell ya what Bruce would have been proud,, im sure he was watching ya, keep it up..

and finally got to talk to the awesome keystone , she had been avoiding me all this time, but i pinned her down and made her chat to me... hheheheh we have "vays of makin you talk...

lo0king forward to the 22 nd all.. see ya'll there

oh and yeah, i dont think were allowed back at the alpineresort,, something to do with some noise and shit.....WTF

An excellent event - well organised and run. Thanks to Chris and Suzuki NZ. I enjoyed looking around the various stands too, and the GSX-R parking area. Good seeing so many GSX-Rs in one place, even though none of the six people I ride with regularly could come. Good to meet up with a few of the KB lurkers and the regulars.

Saw two Blue/White GSX-R600 K6s in the fast group being ridden as they were intended. Looked and sounded awesome!! Good to have something to aspire to eh? Also good to watch Jill out there on my bike. Video evidence shows that even on a unfamiliar bike she is smoother and has better throttle control (obviously me, not the bike) than it's owner.

My own day was good. Bit tentative coming out of turn one (where I had my off 2 weeks ago) in the first session, but gradually back to the same level I was at before by the end of the day. Quite happy about that.

Can't help thinking there's a lot of work that needs to be done before A1GP on 19 January!! You can now see the entire track from the viewing area above the pits.

well to be fair, i dont think dover is aloud back in the toilets at De' Bretts either

it was an awesome day indeed, definitly different to riding on the road, found it a bit intimidating at first (being a virgin and all), but was starting to get the hang of things towards the end.

highlight of the day was letting stroud go up the inside of me on the hairpin.

    bring on the next one

Excellent day Chris and the team, well organised as usual , was good to be able to sneak in with the TL .
Personaly I moved to the fast group in the second session to see if I could learn something from the fast guys , I learn't how slow I was
Third session was the best got some space and did some good smooth laps , by the fourth I was knackered , I am not fit enought and the TL takes a lot of effort to ride so ended up cruising a bit , hope I didnt get in anyones way.

    went home happy and tired

    Dave
