Been on a few rides with young guys on 250's riding far too close to my rear tyre. Can the newish riders make sure they don't ride too closely to the more experienced riders! What I'm trying to politely say is that some of the experienced riders can effortlessly brake very HARD (some have to as they can't corner as quickly as the guys on them wee sports bikes) and sometimes they just make an arse of things and brake mid-corner. I wouldn't want to see anyone going into the back of someone else.

There's going to be enough (drunken) idiots on the roads at this time of the
year without us lot playing silly buggers. Let's just enjoy the ride.

I'll put my slippers on now.
Yup, totally agree... not only will there be alot of idiots/drunken idiots but there will also be alot of coppa's out tryin 2 snag them (and us). Can we please keep to a legal speed?

yeah guys .. we can keep to a legal speed .. if somebody (or somebodies) feel like taking off they can do so by themselves, and wait for us at the next stop.

Cool, sounds good!!! Hopefully it fines up I don't want to go for a long ride in the rain... gear isn't water proof

If you gas up before you leave you will only need a top up part way through the ride.
Its only about 75km to otorohanga if you take a direct route. I could stretch it out to around 100 odd km if we take a few detours here and there.

I was going to come down for this but I've unfortunately had a wee accident while trying to diagnose why my wife's bike threw her off.

the little bastard threw me off too and I have a swollen and useless left hand - I can't be bothered with clutchless shifting all day so I'll try and join you Hamilton 250s another time.

The good news? the diagnosis was successful - shit front tyre.

    Shitfuck! Sorry to hear dude.

I'm running my new rear in ever so carefully now. Since forgetting/ignoring Dad's advice I powerslid it through a corner and nearly high sided.
Now I can see how quickly things can go down the drain with tyres and traction.

that looks a bit photoshopped lol, just joking... sorry about the random bike vs car chase tonight.. tip #1 don't go the wrong way round a roundabout, seriously... that's just stupid, I coulda hit you in the car, and witnesses would've pointed at you as in the wrong...
