my onboard video camera ($200 oregon from noel leemings) the sound quality is crap but with a bit of trial and error i think i can baffle it with a piece of foam.
only 2nd time around this track so excuse the bad lines, i'll get it right eventually!

What an awesome day for those who turned up!! I guess due to holidays, people recovering from Christmas, the weather etc there were many reasons for the low turnout. I don't thnk there was even a thread about it here, so my little report's in Allan's photo/video thread!!.

We got a brilliant fine day in the end, often the way it is at Taupo and had six or seven 20min sessions. To say we were buggered afterwards would be an understatement!! There were 5 in the slower group and 12 in the faster so there was little traffic!!

We had a great day but Steve Fisher didn't. Due to the low turnout he lost about $2000 that day!! I for one would like to see him continue in business - otherwise we won't get so many or such a choice of dates for trackdays. He is a fellow enthusiast after all!! So if anyones contemplating doing Manfeild on the 19 Jan or Pukekohe on 21 Jan please register now, and if possible prepay!! Prepaid entrants go into a draw to win a set of tyres at these two meetings. We had about a 1:10 chance of winning an Arai helmet on Thursday because of the low turnout (and I still didn't win and No, I'm not on Steve's payroll - I just like doing trackdays)

Had a couple of good sessions chasing Bugjuice and eviltwin, my bike transformed with the new Diablo Corsa 3s. Interesting looking at eviltwins video above and seeing the speeds he was getting on the straights.

Here's a video of my attempt at a dice with him (not that we were racing!!) Intersting to watch after seeing his footage above, especially if you ride a 600!! Download "eviltwin.mov" at http://homepage.mac.com/leong.goh/Bi...Sharing32.html Its about 74MB!!

Weekday trackdays are sometimes not worth it Leong.

It is cheaper for me to pay $300 to attend a weekend day than spend $100 on a weekday one due to lost wages, annual leave lost, etc, etc...

Then there's the headache of arranging leave as work projects don't change deadlines.

Thanks for the great photos Allan!! Good to have some that don't show my ugly catalytic converter!! Like that one of eviltwin, me and the guy on the Hayabusa!! 'cept it shows my poor body positioning. You'd think after all that time following eviltwin and buggy that I might have learnt something eh.... next time.

Shame you didn't make it to Manfeild.... it was an exceptional day!!! Could have done with some help from you on lines thru that sweeper....have you seen my vid?

Those dunkeys who own kwikimarts earn 5K+ a week, if I was such a dunkey I would be at every trackday on a race spec F2 bike.

Edit - just realised dunkey - dunc** - I think i'm gonna call you dunkey from now on.
